1 Introduction
Thank you for your purchase. The information contained in
this manual will help you receive maximum performance and
satisfaction from your STIHL Battery Backpack and, if
followed, reduce the risk of injury from its use.
SAVE THIS MANUAL!
Throughout this instruction manual, the STIHL Battery
Backpack also may be referred to as "battery backpack."
Do not lend or rent the battery backpack without this
instruction manual. Allow only persons who fully understand
the information in this manual to use the battery backpack.

3 Main Parts
3.1 Battery Backpack
1 Battery Backpack
Designed for carrying up to two STIHL AP batteries
during work.
3.2 Accessories
The following accessories (sold separately) are used with
the battery backpack:
1 AP Battery
Supplies electrical power to the tool's motor.
2 AP Battery Bag with Connecting Cord
Connects a STIHL AP series battery to a STIHL power
tool.
3 Connecting Cord
Transmits electric current from the battery in the AP
Battery Bag with Connecting Cord to a STIHL power tool.
4 Plug of Connecting Cord
Fits into the power tool socket or AP Adapter.
5 Extra AP Battery Bag
For carrying an extra AP battery during work.
4.1 Intended Uses
The STIHL Battery Backpack is designed for one of two
applications:
1)When used with a STIHL AP Battery Bag with Connecting
Cord: To power your STIHL battery-powered tool with an
AP battery carried on your back (A).
2)When used with a STIHL Extra AP Battery Bag: To carry
up to two extra STIHL AP batteries on your back during
work (B).

4 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
￭ Use only with genuine STIHL AP batteries and the STIHL
Battery Bag with Connecting Cord or STIHL Extra AP
Battery Bag. Use with any other type of battery or battery
container may increase the risk of personal injury and
property damage. Read and follow all instructions and
warnings related to your AP battery, battery bag and
STIHL power tool.
￭ When using the battery backpack with an AP Battery Bag
with Connecting Cord, you may connect only to the
following STIHL power tools:
– STIHL MSA chain saws, except top-handle units
– STIHL HTA pole pruners
– STIHL FSA trimmers and brush cutters
– STIHL HSA hedge trimmers
– STIHL HLA extended reach hedge trimmers
– STIHL BGA blowers
￭ Do not use the battery backpack with a STIHL AP Battery
Bag with Connecting Cord while working with STIHL MSA
top-handle chain saws, STIHL TSA cut-off machines or
STIHL RMA lawn mowers. Use with these products could
lead to severe personal injury and property damage from
entanglement of the connecting cord, loss of control and
loss of balance.
4.2 Operator
WARNING
￭ Operating an outdoor power tool can be strenuous. The
operator must be in good physical condition and mental
health. To reduce the risk of personal injury from fatigue
and loss of control:
– Check with your doctor before working with a power
tool if you have any health condition that may be
aggravated by strenuous work.
– Do not operate a power tool while under the
influence of any substance (drug, alcohol or
medication, etc.) that might impair vision, balance,
dexterity or judgment.
– Be alert. Do not operate a power tool when you are
tired. Take a break if you become tired.
– Do not permit minors to use the battery backpack.
4.3 Using the Battery Backpack
WARNING
￭ Misuse may result in personal injury and property
damage.
– Use the battery backpack only as described in this
instruction manual.
￭ Using a battery backpack that is modified, damaged,
improperly adjusted or improperly maintained can lead to
a malfunction and increase the risk of serious personal
injury or death.
– Always check the AP battery, battery bag, battery
backpack and power tool for damage before starting
work.
– Never carry a malfunctioning, damaged, cracked,
leaking or deformed battery in the battery backpack.
– Never attempt to modify the battery backpack in any
way.

– If the battery backpack, battery bag or any part is
damaged or does not function properly, take it to
your authorized STIHL servicing dealer. Do not use
the battery backpack or battery bag until the problem
has been corrected.
￭ Before attaching an AP Battery Bag with Connecting Cord
to a STIHL battery backpack:
– Check the electrical contacts in the battery bag for
corrosion or other foreign matter. Keep clean. If the
electrical contacts are dirty or corroded, take the
battery bag to your authorized STIHL servicing
dealer before use.
￭ To reduce the risk of a battery short circuit, which could
lead to electric shock, fire and explosion:
– Never transport metallic, pointed or sharp objects in
the battery backpack. They may bridge the electrical
contacts in the battery and cause a short circuit.
– When working with an AP Battery Bag with
Connecting Cord, never insert the connecting cord
into a malfunctioning, damaged, cracked or
deformed power tool or AP Adapter.
– Protect the battery backpack from damp conditions,
or conditions that could lead to corrosion of its metal
components or the metal components of a battery.
– Protect the battery backpack from exposure to
corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and de-
icing salts.
￭ To help reduce the risk of serious personal injury or death
from unintentional starting of the power tool:
– Be sure the power tool is switched off and the
retaining latch is in the locked position before
inserting the connecting cord or AP Adapter into the
power tool.
– Never leave the battery backpack unattended with
an AP battery inside.
￭ To reduce the risk of serious personal injury from tripping
on the connecting cord or losing control of the power tool
when using the battery backpack with an AP Battery Bag
with Connecting Cord:
– Read and follow all safety precautions and
instructions related to the power tool connected to
the battery bag.
– Make sure you have good balance and secure
footing at all times. Take special care in slippery
conditions (wet ground, snow) and in overgrown
terrain.
– Watch for hidden obstacles such as tree stumps,
roots, rocks, holes and ditches to avoid stumbling or
falling.
– Be extremely cautious when working on slopes or
uneven ground, as the battery backpack may alter
your center of balance. Do not overreach.
– Never work with the battery backpack in trees, on
roofs, or ladders or any other insecure support.
– Make sure the nylon straps and other components of
the battery backpack are in good condition, free of
damage, properly adjusted and secured. If any of the

contact your authorized STIHL servicing dealer to
have them repaired or replaced before use.
– Always position and secure the connecting cord so
that it will not interfere with your ability to control the
power tool or proper working technique. Keep the
connecting cord away from the cutting attachment of
the power tool.
– Remain aware of the location of the connecting cord
while working. Prevent it from contacting the power
tool’s cutting attachment or catching on other
objects, which could cause you to lose balance or
control of the power tool, resulting in serious
personal injury and property damage.
￭ Using an AP battery, battery bag or battery backpack that
is damaged, modified or improperly adjusted can lead to a
malfunction and increase the risk of serious personal
injury and property damage. Before carrying a battery in
your battery backpack:
– Always check the battery, battery bag and battery
backpack for proper condition and operation.
– Check the battery, connecting cord, power tool
socket or battery compartment and AP Adapter for
corrosion, foreign matter and damage.
– Never attempt to use, charge or store a
malfunctioning, damaged, cracked, leaking or
deformed battery. Take it to your authorized STIHL
servicing dealer immediately. Do not use, charge or
store the battery until the problem has been
corrected.
￭ The operator must be able to remove the battery backpack
quickly in the event of an emergency. In an emergency,
remove the STIHL Battery Belt or work belt by releasing
the quick-release buckles.
– To help reduce the risk of injury in the event of an
emergency, practice quickly opening the quick-
release buckles on the waist belt and chest strap and
lowering the battery backpack to the ground. To
avoid damage, ease the battery backpack to the
ground when practicing. Do not allow the battery
backpack to drop to the ground and do not throw it.
4.4 Maintenance, Repair and Storage
WARNING
￭ There are no user-authorized repairs for the battery
backpack.
– Strictly follow the cleaning and maintenance
instructions in the appropriate sections of this
instruction manual.
– STIHL recommends that all repair work be
performed by authorized STIHL servicing dealers.
￭ Unintentional starting of the power tool may result in
personal injury or property damage. To reduce the risk of
personal injury and property damage from unintentional
starting, disconnect the AP battery from the power tool:
– Before inspecting, adjusting or cleaning the battery,
battery bag, battery backpack or power tool.
– Before handling the power tool's cutting or working
attachment.
– Before leaving the battery, battery bag or power tool
unattended.
– Before transporting or storing the battery or the battery
bag.
– In the event of a malfunction or emergency.
– Any time the power tool is not in use.

￭ Use of parts that are not authorized or approved by STIHL
may cause serious or fatal injury or property damage.
– STIHL recommends that only identical STIHL
replacement parts be used for repair or
maintenance.
￭ To reduce the risk of short circuit and fire:
– Keep the electrical guides in the AP Battery Bag with
Connecting Cord, AP Adapter and in the power tool’s
battery compartment free of foreign matter. Clean as
necessary with a dry cloth or soft, dry brush.
￭ Improper storage can result in unauthorized use, damage
to the AP battery and an increased risk of fire, electric
shock and other personal injury or property damage.
Before storing:
– Remove the connecting cord from the power tool.
Then remove the battery from the battery bag.
– Store the battery backpack indoors in a dry, secure
place out of the reach of children and other
unauthorized users.
– Never store the battery backpack in damp or
corrosive environments or in conditions that could
lead to the corrosion of its metal components or the
metal components of a battery.
– Remove all batteries from the battery backpack.
Never store the battery backpack with a battery
attached.
5.1 Preparing the Battery Backpack
Before starting work:
► Check the battery backpack, battery bag, connecting cord,
plug and power tool socket for signs of damage. If using
the AP Adapter, always check it and the power tool's
battery compartment for signs of damage before starting
work. Never use a damaged battery backpack, battery
bag, connecting cord, plug or socket. Never use a
damaged AP Adapter or power tool.
► Make sure before use that the insulation of the connecting
cord is in good condition.
► Check the electrical contacts in the battery bag and on the
plug. Make sure they are free of foreign matter and
corrosion. If working with an AP Adapter, make sure its
electrical contacts and the contacts in the power tool's
battery compartment are free of foreign matter.
► Straighten a twisted connecting cord before use.
► Fully charge the battery outside of the battery bag before
use.
6.1 Mounting the AP Battery Bag with Connecting
Cord to the Battery Backpack
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from tripping on the connecting
cord or losing control of the power tool, always secure the
connecting cord with the hook and eye fasteners on the cord
holder. Always position and secure the connecting cord so
that it will not interfere with proper working technique or your
ability to maintain control of the power tool. Always manage
the cord to prevent it from contacting the cutting attachment
or catching on objects, which could cause you to lose
balance or control of the power tool, resulting in serious
personal injury and property damage.
WARNING
Never transport metallic, pointed or sharp objects in the
battery bag or battery backpack. They may bridge the
electrical contacts in the battery and cause a short circuit
once a battery is inserted, @ 4.3.

6 Assembling the Battery Backpack
The AP Battery Bag with Connecting Cord can be mounted
at the top (Ill. A) or bottom (Ill. B and C) fastening points
inside the STIHL Battery Backpack. Mount the battery bag
so that the connecting cord is on the side of your body where
the power tool will be held and controlled.
The Extra AP Battery Bag can be mounted at the top (Ill. D)
or bottom (Ill. E) fastening points inside the STIHL Battery
Backpack.
To attach the AP Battery Bag with Connecting Cord or Extra
AP Battery Bag to the STIHL Battery Backpack:
► Insert the AP battery into the AP Battery Bag with
Connecting Cord or Extra AP Battery Bag.
► Attach the AP Battery Bag with Connecting Cord or Extra
AP Battery Bag at one of the specified locations.
► If you attach the battery bag at the top position, pull the
vertical strap (2) through the ring (1) and close the hook
and eye fastener to secure it.
► Repeat the process with the horizontal strap (4) and its
ring (3).
► If you attach the battery bag at the bottom position, pull
the vertical belt strap (6) through the ring (5) and close the
hook and eye fastener to secure it.
6.2 Positioning and Adjusting the Connecting Cord
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from tripping on the connecting
cord or losing control of the power tool, always secure the
connecting cord with the hook and eye fastener as described
below. Always position and secure the connecting cord so
that it will not interfere with the proper working technique or
your ability to maintain control of the power tool. Manage the

cord to prevent it from contacting the cutting attachment or
catching on objects, which could cause you to lose balance
or control of the power tool, resulting in serious personal
injury and property damage. Do not allow the connecting
cord to swing across your body or hang at your side, @ 4.3.
The connecting cord can be secured in different positions
and adjusted to suit the height and reach of the operator.
To run the connecting cord through the guide in the shoulder
strap:
► Insert the connecting cord (1) through the opening (2) on
the side of side of your body where the power tool is held
and controlled.
► Undo the snaps (3) and run the connecting cord through
the guide (4) on the shoulder strap.
► Close the snaps to secure the cord in the guide.
To run the connecting cord to the side:
► Insert the connecting cord (1) through the opening (2) on
the side of your body where the power tool is held and
controlled (Ill. A or B).
► Secure the connecting cord using the hook and eye
fastener (3).
6.3 Putting on and Adjusting the Battery Backpack
WARNING
The operator must be able to remove the battery backpack
quickly in the event of an emergency. To reduce the risk of
injury in an emergency, remove the waist belt and chest
strap quickly before dropping the battery backpack to the
ground.
To ensure a proper fit:
► Put the battery backpack on your back.
► Fasten and adjust the waist belt (2) so that it rests
comfortably but securely on your hips.
► Fasten the chest strap (1) and adjust it so that it fits
comfortably but securely across your chest.

► Adjust the harness straps so that the backpack fits firmly
and securely against your back.
► Thread the end of the waist belt through the loop (3).
► To remove the harness, open the quick-release fasteners
on the waist belt and chest strap and loosen the harness
straps by lifting the sliding adjusters.
To help reduce the risk of injury in the event of an
emergency, practice quickly opening the fastener on the
waist belt and chest strap, loosening the shoulder straps and
removing the battery backpack. To avoid damage, ease the
battery backpack to the ground when practicing. Do not
allow the battery backpack to drop to the ground and do not
throw it.
7.1 Preparing for Transportation or Storage
To prepare the battery backpack for transportation or
storage:
► Switch off the power tool as described in its instruction
manual.
► Remove the AP battery from the battery bag.
► If the battery, battery bag or battery backpack became wet
during operation, allow them to dry separately and
completely before charging or storing.
8.1 Cleaning the Battery Backpack
WARNING
To reduce the risk of personal injury from unintended
activation, remove the battery bag from the battery
backpack before carrying out any cleaning work, @ 4.4.
Users of this battery backpack should carry out only the
cleaning described in this manual.
To clean the battery backpack:
► Remove the AP battery and battery bag.
► Clean dust and dirt off the battery backpack with a damp
cloth.
► Do not use solvents or aggressive detergents to clean the
battery backpack.
► If the carrying system is very dirty, wash by hand using a
mild detergent.
9.1 Storing the Battery Backpack
WARNING
Store the battery backpack indoors in a dry, secure place
that is inaccessible to children and other unauthorized
users. Remove the AP battery before storing, @ 4.4.
When storing the battery backpack:
► Clean the battery backpack, @ 8.
► Remove the AP battery and store as directed in its
accompanying instructions.
► Store the battery backpack indoors in a dry and secure
location, out of the reach of children and other
unauthorized persons.

► Loop the connecting cord and secure it with the cord
holder (1) on the top of the battery backpack.
10.1 Genuine STIHL Replacement Parts
STIHL recommends the use of genuine STIHL replacement
parts. Genuine STIHL parts can be identified by the STIHL
part number, the logo and, in some cases, by the
STIHL parts symbol . The symbol may appear alone on
small parts.
11.1 Disposal of the Battery Backpack
STIHL products must not be thrown in household trash or
disposed of except as outlined in this manual.
► Take the battery backpack and packaging to an approved
disposal site for environmentally friendly recycling.
► Contact your authorized STIHL
servicing dealer for the
latest information on disposal and recycling.

y satisfacción de la Batería de mochila STIHL y el atenerse
a ella le ayudará a reducir el riesgo de lesionarse durante el
uso de la misma.

En este manual de instrucciones, la Batería de mochila
STIHL también se denomina “batería de mochila”.
No preste ni alquile la batería de mochila sin este manual de
instrucciones. Solo permita que personas que comprendan
plenamente la información dada en este manual utilicen la
batería de mochila.

3 Componentes importantes
3.1 Batería de mochila
1 Batería de mochila
Diseñada para llevar hasta dos baterías AP de STIHL
durante el trabajo.
3.2 Accesorios
Los accesorios siguientes (vendidos por separado) se usan
con la batería de mochila.
1 Batería AP
Suministra energía eléctrica al motor de la herramienta.
2 Bolsa de batería AP con cable de conexión
Conecta una batería serie AP de STIHL a una
herramienta motorizada STIHL.
3 Cordón de conexión
Transmite la corriente eléctrica de la batería en la bolsa
AP con el cordón de conexión hacia la herramienta
motorizada STIHL.
4 Enchufe del cable de conexión
Queda dentro del receptáculo de la herramienta eléctrica
o el adaptador AP.
5 Bolsa de baterías AP adicional
Para llevar una batería AP adicional durante el trabajo.
4.1 Usos previstos
La batería de mochila de STIHL está diseñada para usarse
en una de dos maneras:
1)Cuando se usa una bolsa de baterías AP de STIHL con
cordón de conexión: Para alimentar a una herramienta
STIHL de baterías con una batería AP llevada en la
mochila (A).
2)Cuando se usa con una bolsa de baterías AP de STIHL
adicional: Para llevar hasta dos baterías AP de STIHL
adicionales en la mochila cuando se trabaja (B).

ADVERTENCIA
￭ Utilícese únicamente con baterías AP genuinas de STIHL
y con la bolsa de baterías con cordón de conexión o con
la bolsa para batería AP adicional. El uso con cualquier
otro tipo de batería o de contenedor puede aumentar el
riesgo de lesiones personales y daños a la propiedad. Lea
y aténgase a todas las instrucciones y advertencias
relacionadas con su batería AP, la bolsa de baterías y la
herramienta motorizada.
￭ Cuando se usa la batería de mochila con una bolsa para
baterías AP con cordón de conexión, puede conectarse
únicamente con las herramientas motorizadas STIHL
mencionadas a continuación:
– Motosierras MSA de STIHL, salvo las unidades con
mango superior
– Podadores de varilla HTA de STIHL
– Motoguadañas y cortadores de arbustos FSA de STIHL
– Cortasetos HSA de STIHL
– Cortasetos de alcance adicional HLA de STIHL
– Sopladores BGA de STIHL
￭ No utilice la batería de mochila con una bolsa de baterías
AP de STIHL con cordón de conexión cuando se trabaja
con una motosierra con manija superior MSA, tronzadoras
TSA o cortacéspedes RMA de STIHL. El uso con estos
productos puede causar lesiones personales graves y
daños a la propiedad como resultado de que el cordón de
conexión quede atrapado, la pérdida del control o la
pérdida del equilibrio.
4.2 Operador
ADVERTENCIA
￭ El uso de una herramienta eléctrica a la intemperie puede
ser fatigoso. El operador debe hallarse en buenas
condiciones tanto físicas como mentales. Para reducir el
riesgo de lesiones personales causadas por fatiga o
pérdida del control:
– Consulte con su médico antes de trabajar con una
herramienta motorizada si usted padece de alguna
condición de salud que pudiera ser agravada por el
trabajo extenuante.
– No haga funcionar una herramienta eléctrica si se
encuentra bajo la influencia de cualquier sustancia
(drogas, alcohol, medicamentos, etc.) que puedan
afectar la visión, el equilibrio, la destreza o el juicio.
– Esté alerta. No maneje una herramienta eléctrica
cuando esté fatigado. Tómese un descanso si se
siente cansado.
– No permita que menores de edad utilicen la batería
de mochila.

4.3 Uso de la batería de mochila
ADVERTENCIA
￭ El uso inadecuado puede causar lesiones personales o
daños a la propiedad.
– Utilice la batería de mochila únicamente de la
manera descrita en este manual de instrucciones.
￭ El uso de una batería de mochila que presenta
modificaciones, daños, ajustes incorrectos o
mantenimiento deficiente puede causar una avería y
aumentar el riesgo de lesiones personales o de la muerte.
– Siempre revise la batería AP, la bolsa de baterías, la
mochila y la herramienta motorizada en busca de
daños antes de empezar a trabajar.
– Nunca coloque una batería que funcione mal, esté
averiada, o que presente fugas o deformaciones en
la mochila.
– Nunca intente modificar la batería de mochila en
manera alguna.
– Si la batería de mochila, la bolsa para baterías o
alguno de sus componentes se avería o no funciona
debidamente, lleve la unidad al concesionario de
STIHL. No utilice la batería de mochila ni la bolsa de
baterías sin ante haber resuelto el problema.
￭ Antes de conectar una bolsa de baterías AP con su
cordón de conexión a una batería de mochila:
– Revise si hay corrosión o materias extrañas en los
contactos eléctricos de la bolsa de batería.
Manténgalos limpios. Si los contactos eléctricos
están sucios o corroídos, lleve la bolsa de batería a
un concesionario de servicio autorizado por STIHL
antes de usarla.
￭ Para reducir el riesgo de un cortocircuito en la batería, lo
cual podría causar una sacudida eléctrica, un incendio y
una explosión:
– Nunca transporte objetos metálicos, puntiagudos ni
afilados en la batería de mochila. Éstos podrían
establecer una conexión entre los contactos
eléctricos de la batería y causar un cortocircuito.
– Cuando se trabaja con una bolsa de baterías AP con
cordón de conexión, nunca inserte el cordón de
conexión en una herramienta motorizada o
adaptador AP que funcione mal, o que presente
daños, roturas o deformaciones.
– Proteja la batería de mochila contra las condiciones
húmedas o que pudieran causar la corrosión de sus
componentes metálicos o de los componentes
metálicos de la batería.
– Proteja la batería de mochila contra la exposición a
agentes corrosivos tales como los productos para
jardín y las sales descongeladoras.
￭ Para ayudar a reducir el riesgo de lesiones personales
graves o la muerte por el arranque inesperado de la
herramienta motorizada:
– Asegúrese de que la herramienta eléctrica esté
apagada y que el pestillo de retención esté en la
posición de bloqueo antes de insertar el cable de
conexión o el adaptador AP en la herramienta
eléctrica.
– Nunca deje la batería de mochila desatendida con
una batería AP dentro.
– Mantenga la batería de mochila seca.
Protéjala contra la lluvia, el agua y las
condiciones húmedas. Nunca lleve una
batería en una mochila que esté mojada
o húmeda.
– Retire el cable de conexión o el
adaptador AP de la herramienta eléctrica
antes de armar, transportar, ajustar,
inspeccionar, limpiar, darle servicio o
mantenimiento o guardar la herramienta
eléctrica. Retire el cable de conexión o el
adaptador AP inmediatamente en caso
de una avería o emergencia y toda vez
que la herramienta no esté en uso.

￭ Para reducir el riesgo de lesionarse por tropezar con el
cordón de conexión o por la pérdida del control de la
herramienta motorizada cuando se use la batería de
mochila con una bolsa de baterías AP con cordón de
conexión:
– Lea y respete todas las instrucciones de seguridad
relacionadas con la herramienta eléctrica que está
conectada a la bolsa de batería.
– Asegúrese de estar siempre en equilibrio y de tener
los pies bien apoyados. Se debe tener cuidado
especial cuando las condiciones del suelo son
resbaladizas (suelo húmedo, nieve) y en terreno con
mucha vegetación.
– Para evitar tropezarse o caerse, esté atento a los
obstáculos ocultos, tales como tocones, raíces,
piedras, hoyos y zanjas.
– Tenga sumo cuidado al trabajar sobre pendientes o
suelo desnivelado, ya que la batería de mochila
puede alterar su centro de gravedad. No trate de
llegar más lejos de lo debido.
– Nunca trabaje con la batería de mochila en árboles,
techos o escalerillas, o sobre alguna superficie de
soporte no segura.
– Compruebe que las correas de nilón y demás
componentes de la batería de mochila se
encuentren en buenas condiciones, sin daños, y
debidamente ajustadas y aseguradas. Si alguna de
las correas está debilitada, desgastada, rota o
dañada, comuníquese con el concesionario
autorizado de STIHL para que las repare o remplace
antes de usar la unidad.
– Siempre coloque y asegure el cordón de conexión
de manera que no interfiera con el control de la
herramienta motorizada ni con el uso de técnicas de
trabajo correctas. Mantenga el cordón de conexión
alejado del accesorio de corte de la herramienta
motorizada.
– Esté siempre atento a la ubicación del cable de
conexión mientras trabaje. Evite que entre en
contacto con el accesorio de corte de la herramienta
eléctrica o que se enganche en otros objetos, lo cual
podría hacerle perder el equilibrio o el control de la
herramienta y dar por resultado lesiones personales
graves y daños a la propiedad.
￭ El uso de una batería AP, bolsa de baterías o batería de
mochila que está dañada, modificada o mal ajustada
puede causar una avería y aumentar el riesgo de sufrir
lesiones personales graves o daños a la propiedad. Antes
de llevar una batería en la mochila:
– Siempre revise la batería, la bolsa de batería y la
batería de mochila para comprobar que su condición
y funcionamiento sean correctos.
– Revise la batería, el cordón de conexión, el
receptáculo de la herramienta o el compartimiento
de la batería y el adaptador de AP en busca de
corrosión, materias extrañas y daños.
– Nunca utilice, cargue ni guarde una batería
defectuosa, dañada, agrietada, deformada o que
pierda líquido. Llévela de inmediato al concesionario
autorizado de STIHL. No use, cargue ni guarde la
batería hasta que el problema se haya corregido.
￭ El operador deberá poder despojarse de la batería de
mochila rápidamente en caso de emergencia. En caso de
una emergencia, quítese el cinturón de la batería STIHL o
el cinturón de trabajo por medio de desabrocharse las
hebillas de soltado rápido.
– Para ayudar a reducir el riesgo de lesionarse en
caso de emergencia, practique la apertura rápida de
las hebillas del cinturón y de la correa de pecho y
bajar la batería de mochila al suelo. Para evitar los
daños, baje la batería de mochila con suavidad al
suelo al practicar. No permita que la batería de
mochila caiga al suelo ni tampoco la lance.
