PakYak Passenger Foot Rest. Safety instructions are very important
and should not be overlooked. By reading the manual you will have a
better understanding of the general operation.
- Do not stand on or step heavily on the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest. It
is designed for seated passengers(s).
- Passenger(s) should always use the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest to
ensure riding balance.
- Secure all cargo before riding. Take care that all straps are tied down
and any loose item is secured.
- Only use the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest and supplied installation
hardware.
- Do not exceed the weight limit of 101.32lbs/46 kg(both sides)
- Periodically check all bolts are tight as vibrations may loosen them over
time.
- Make sure that no parts, accessories or body parts come in contact with
moving parts of the bicycle such as tire, spokes or chain.
- Compatible with PakYak E+ only.
- All four PakYak Passenger accessories (Bar, Seat Pad, Foot Rest &
Wheel Guard) MUST be used in conjunction with one another other to
safely transport passengers on the PakYak E+.
- If you are not confident with installation of this product, please consult
your local authorized dealer.
- Regulation can vary by country, and/or location, always check in
advance.
Installation
1. Ensure the bike is switched off with kickstand engaged and is on level
ground.
2. Remove any accessories that may interfere with the installation and/or
use of the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest.
3. Start by identifying the RIGHT-side and LEFT-side foot rest.
4. Attach RIGHT PakYak Passenger Foot Rest to right side of frame using
the three bolts and partially tighten them.
5. Check that PakYak Passenger Foot Rest is secure against frame at
each mounting point.
6. Use a 6mm hex torque wrench for M8 bolt with 12Nm and 5mm hex
torque wrench for M6 bolt with 10Nm to tighten each bolt .
7. Double check if the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest is properly installed.
The PakYak Passenger Foot Rest should not move or rotate in any
direction.
8. Repeat this process on the LEFT side by following steps 1 to 7.
Usage information
Suitable for (recommended):
• Age: 5 years and up
• Body weight: 44lbs/20kg and up
• Body Height: 3'6"- 4'7"/110-140cm
- It may be illegal to carry passengers on a bike in your area even if it has
been designed or configured to do so. Check your local regulations
before carrying passengers.
- The main rider and passenger(s) are strongly advised to wear a quality
protective helmet while riding. Consult your local regulations before
riding or carrying passengers.
- The passenger(s) should only move on or off the seat if the bike is
standing still and the main rider is holding the bike securely, standing
firmly with both feet on each side of the bike and on the ground.
- The passenger(s) should sit up straight with one leg on each side of the
bike, face the same way as the direction of travel and securely hold on
to the main rider or a fixed part of the bike. Always make sure feet
cannot get intangled in the spokes or other moving parts.
LIMITED PRODUCT WARRANTY INFORMATION
Giant Global Inc. warrants its products for a period of one (1) year from
the date of purchase, this applies only for the original owner. This warranty
applies only to this product when purchased new from an Authorized Giant
Dealer and assembled by that dealer at the time of purchase.
LIMITED REMEDY
Unless otherwise provided, the sole remedy under the above warranty, or
any implied warranty, is limited to the replacement of defective parts with
those of equal or greater value at the sole discretion of Giant Global Inc.
This warranty extends from the date of purchase, applies only to the
original owner, and is not transferable. In no event shall Giant Global Inc.
be responsible for any direct, incidental or consequential damages,
including, without limitation, damages for personal injury, property
damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty,
negligence, product liability, or any other theory.
EXCLUSIONS
The above warranty, or any implied warranty, does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear on parts in situations where there are no
assembly or material defects.
• Products serviced by other than an Authorized Giant dealer.
• Modifications of the product from its original condition.
• Use of this product for abnormal, competition and/or commercial
activities or for purposes other than those for which this product was

• Damage caused by failing to follow the User's Manual.
• Paint, finish and decal damage resulting from taking part in competi-
tions, jumping, downhill and/or training for such activities or events or as
a result of exposing the product to, or operating the product in, severe
conditions or climates.
• Labor charges for part replacement or changeover.

2. Remove any accessories that may interfere with the installation and/or
use of the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest.
3. Start by identifying the RIGHT-side and LEFT-side foot rest.
4. Attach RIGHT PakYak Passenger Foot Rest to right side of frame using
the three bolts and partially tighten them.
5. Check that PakYak Passenger Foot Rest is secure against frame at
each mounting point.
6. Use a 6mm hex torque wrench for M8 bolt with 12Nm and 5mm hex
torque wrench for M6 bolt with 10Nm to tighten each bolt .
7. Double check if the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest is properly installed.
The PakYak Passenger Foot Rest should not move or rotate in any
direction.
8. Repeat this process on the LEFT side by following steps 1 to 7.

Installation
1. Ensure the bike is switched off with kickstand engaged and is on level
ground.
2. Remove any accessories that may interfere with the installation and/or
use of the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest.
3. Start by identifying the RIGHT-side and LEFT-side foot rest.
4. Attach RIGHT PakYak Passenger Foot Rest to right side of frame using
the three bolts and partially tighten them.
5. Check that PakYak Passenger Foot Rest is secure against frame at
each mounting point.
6. Use a 6mm hex torque wrench for M8 bolt with 12Nm and 5mm hex
torque wrench for M6 bolt with 10Nm to tighten each bolt .
7. Double check if the PakYak Passenger Foot Rest is properly installed.
The PakYak Passenger Foot Rest should not move or rotate in any
direction.
8. Repeat this process on the LEFT side by following steps 1 to 7.

firmly with both feet on each side of the bike and on the ground.
- The passenger(s) should sit up straight with one leg on each side of the
bike, face the same way as the direction of travel and securely hold on
to the main rider or a fixed part of the bike. Always make sure feet
cannot get intangled in the spokes or other moving parts.

Giant Global Inc. warrants its products for a period of one (1) year from
the date of purchase, this applies only for the original owner. This warranty

INFORMATIONS SUR LA GARANTIE LIMITÉE DU PRODUIT
Giant Global Inc. garantit ses produits pendant une période de un (1) an à
partir de la date d'achat. Cela s'applique uniquement au premier acquéreur.
Cette garantie s'applique uniquement à ce produit, lorsqu'il est acheté neuf
auprès d'un revendeur Giant autorisé et assemblé par ce revendeur au
moment de l'achat.
RECOURS LIMITÉ
Sauf disposition contraire, le seul recours au titre de la garantie ci-dessus, ou
de toute autre garantie implicite, est limité au remplacement des pièces
défectueuses par des pièces de qualité égale ou supérieure à la seule
discrétion de GIANT. La garantie commence à partir de la date d'achat,
s'applique uniquement au premier acquéreur et n'est pas transférable. En
aucun cas Giant Global Inc. ne peut être tenu responsable en cas de
dommages directs, occasionnés ou indirects comprenant, sans limitation, les
blessures aux personnes, les dommages aux biens ou les pertes économiques
provenant de raisons contractuelles, de garantie, de négligence, de fiabilité du
produit ou de tout autre cas.
EXCLUSIONS
La garantie ci-dessus, ou toute garantie tacite, ne couvre pas :
• Usure normale ou dégâts s'il n'y a aucun défaut d'assemblage ou de
matériel.
• Produits non entretenus par un revendeur agréé Giant.
• Modifications apportées à l'état d'origine du produit.
• L'utilisation de ce produit pour des activités anormales, commerciales et/ou
de compétition ou pour des utilisations autres que celles pour lequel ce
produit a été conçu.
• Les dommages causés par le non-respect du manuel de l’utilisateur.
• Les dégâts à la finition de peinture et aux imprimés suite à la participation à
des compétitions, sauts, descentes ou entraînements pour de tels
événements ou activités, ou découlant de l'exposition du produit ou de son
utilisation dans des conditions difficiles.
• Les coûts de main d'œuvre pour le remplacement ou le changement de
pièces.
En dehors des cas prévus par cette garantie, et sous réserve de toutes les
garanties supplémentaires, Giant Global Inc. et ses employés et agents ne
sauraient être responsables de pertes ou dommages quels qu'ils soient (y
compris pertes ou dommages accidentels et consécutifs causés par la
négligence ou la faute) découlant de, ou concernant tout produit Giant Global
Inc.
Giant Global Inc. n'accorde pas d'autres garanties, expresses ou tacites.
Toutes les garanties implicites, comprenant les garanties de valeur marchande
et d'adaptation à un usage particulier, sont limitées en durée à celle des
garanties expresses indiquées ci-dessus.
Toute réclamation contre cette garantie doit être formulée auprès d'un
revendeur ou distributeur Giant autorisé. La facture d'achat ou toute autre
preuve de la date d'achat est nécessaire avant de pouvoir traiter une demande
de garantie. Les réclamations hors du pays d'achat peuvent être sujettes à des
frais et restrictions supplémentaires. La durée et les détails de la garantie
peuvent varier selon le pays. Cette garantie vous donne des droits juridiques
spécifiques et vous pouvez également bénéficier d'autres droits, qui peuvent
varier d'un endroit à l'autre. CETTE GARANTIE N'AFFECTE PAS VOS
DROITS STATUTAIRES.

d'origine ou des pièces de rechange autorisées par Giant lors des réparations
et des remplacements. Giant ne sera pas responsable des dommages directs,
accidentels ou consécutifs, y compris, sans limitation, les blessures
corporelles, les dommages matériels, ou les dommages économiques dues à
une mauvaise utilisation.
