• Avant la première utilisation, faire fonctionner plusieurs fois l’appareil avec seulement de l’eau pour le
rincer complètement. Ainsi, votre premier café sera parfaitement savoureux.

DÉMARRER L’APPAREIL
- Placer l’appareil sur une surface plane et s’assurer que les pieds ventouses adhèrent à la surface
pour une parfaite stabilité.
- Remplir le réservoir d’eau froide et le repositionner dans son logement en poussant légèrement
vers le bas.
- Brancher l’appareil sur le secteur. Le voyant lumineux (J) passe au rouge. Mettre l’interrupteur (K)
en position « expresso » pour lancer la machine. La chaudière commence à chauffer.
- Presser le bouton de commande de la pompe (O) jusqu’à ce que le voyant (N) devienne vert. De
l’eau s’écoule du porte-filtre.
- Si vous utilisez l’appareil pour la 1ère fois ou après une longue période d’abstention, il est
recommandé de laisser couler au moins une tasse d’eau. Pour ce faire, tourner le bouton (B) dans
le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre après avoir placé une tasse sous la buse vapeur (C).
Presser le bouton de commande de la pompe (O). Tourner le bouton (B) dans le sens des aiguilles
d’une montre et appuyer sur le bouton de commande de la pompe (O) pour arrêter l’émission
d’eau.
COMMENT PRÉPARER UN EXPRESSO
- L’expresso est un café puissant, au goût caractéristique extrêmement riche en arôme. Pour le
réaliser, l’eau arrive sur le filtre à température très élevée, puis est poussée rapidement au travers
de la masse de café par une forte pression. Elle extrait le nectar de la mouture et puise les par-
fums essentiels du café.
- Pour réaliser un délicieux café, utiliser de préférence un café spécial « expresso », à la torréfac-
tion et à la mouture bien adaptées. De façon générale, l’expresso nécessite une mouture plus fine
que le café filtre.
L’APPAREIL EST PRET LORSQUE LE VOYANT LUMINEUX (N) S’ALLUME.
- Remplir le filtre de café. Pour deux tasses, mettre deux mesures de café et une seule mesure pour
une tasse.
- Positionner le porte-filtre dans son logement, tourner dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une
montre. Un préchauffage de 8/10 minutes est recommandé pour un premier expresso. Le pré-
chauffage n’est pas nécessaire pour les expressos suivants.
- Le témoin lumineux (N) s’allume et s’éteint, indiquant que la chaudière maintient l’eau à une tem-
pérature adéquate.
- Il est conseillé de lancer la préparation de l’expresso uniquement quand le témoin lumineux est au
vert.
- Appuyer sur le bouton de commande de la pompe (O). Le café s’écoule. Pour arrêter la prépara-
tion, appuyer de nouveau sur le bouton de commande (O).
NOTE : si vous ne pouvez pas dévisser le porte-filtre après utilisation, tourner le bouton de réglage
(B) pour relâcher la pression.
Aucune opération spécifique n’est nécessaire lorsque le réservoir est vide en cours

d’utilisation puisque l’appareil est équipé d’un mécanisme auto-amorçant. Il suffit donc de
débrancher la machine, retirer et remplir le réservoir.
- Pour faire de nouveaux expressos, laisser la chaudière refroidir en mettant l’interrupteur (K) en
position STOP (L).
- Pour accélérer le refroidissement, tourner le bouton (B) vers la gauche et presser le bouton de
commande de la pompe (O) pour permettre l’écoulement de l’eau par la buse vapeur (C).
- Lorsque le témoin lumineux (N) s’éteint, appuyer sur le bouton (O) et tourner le bouton (B) vers la
droite. Attendre que le témoin lumineux (N) devienne vert pour faire un nouvel expresso.
BUSE VAPEUR
- Cet appareil est équipé d’une buse vapeur permettant de chauffer du lait ou d’autres liquides, et
de réaliser d’excellents cappuccinos.
- Mettre l’interrupteur (M) sur la position vapeur. Le témoin lumineux (I) est éteint. Quand il passe au
vert, la machine est prête à générer de la vapeur.
NOTE : de petits jets de vapeur peuvent sortir du porte-filtre. C’est tout à fait normal.
- Mettre une tasse ou un verre sous la buse vapeur ( C) et tourner le bouton de réglage de vapeur
(B) vers la gauche.
- Quelques gouttes d’eau s’écoulent d’abord, suivies immédiatement d’un fort jet de vapeur.
- Tourner le bouton (B) vers la droite et placer le récipient de lait sous la buse vapeur (C).
- Immerger le bout de la buse dans le récipient et tourner le bouton (B) vers la gauche jusqu’à ce
que le niveau d’émulsion souhaité soit atteint.
- Il est recommandé de ne presser le bouton (B) que lorsque le voyant (I) est vert.
ATTENTION : Pendant l’utilisation de cette fonction, la buse vapeur et la base de l’appareil
deviennent très chaudes. NE PAS TOUCHER.
ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE
ATTENTION : ETEINDRE IMPÉRATIVEMENT L’APPAREIL AVANT DE LE NETTOYER.
FILTRE À CAFÉ :
- Vérifier que les trous ne sont pas obstrués et les nettoyer avec une petite brosse le cas échéant.
- Vérifier que le trou sous le filtre n’est pas obstrué et le nettoyer avec une goupille le cas échéant.

BUSE VAPEUR :
- Nettoyer uniquement quand la partie métallique de la buse est froide pour éviter tout risque de
brûlure.
- Dévisser la partie caoutchouc de la buse (C ) et rincer à l’eau courante. Le petit tube peut être
nettoyé avec un chiffon non abrasif. Revisser.
- Si nécessaire, nettoyer le trou de l’embout avec une goupille.
RÉSERVOIR :
- Nettoyer régulièrement le réservoir d’eau avec une éponge ou un chiffon humide.
DYSFONCTIONNEMENTS
1/ L’appareil ne génère pas d’eau chaude :
- Vérifier qu’il y a de l’eau dans le réservoir.
- Désactiver la pompe pour évacuer l’air qui pourrait être entré dans le circuit.
- Répéter les opérations de démarrage de l’appareil.
- Si le problème persiste, consulter un technicien agréé.
2/ L’appareil ne génère pas de vapeur :
- A l’aide d’un cure-dent, éliminer les dépôts qui ont pu se former dans la valve vapeur et l’embout
caoutchouc de la buse.
- Vérifier qu’il a assez d’eau dans le réservoir.
- Si le problème persiste, consulter un technicien agréé.
3/ Le café déborde du porte-filtre :
- Il est probable que le filtre soit trop rempli, empêchant le porte-filtre de s’emboîter parfaitement
dans son logement.
- Laisser la machine refroidir, enlever le café et recommencer avec une dose de café plus adaptée.
- Des résidus de café peuvent subsister dans l’anneau caoutchouc. Nettoyer à l’aide d’un cure-
dents.
- Si le problème persiste, consulter un technicien agréé.
4/ Le café ne coule pas ou très lentement :
- Vérifier l’état du filtre. Si les trous sont obstrués, les nettoyer avec une petite brosse.
- Après plusieurs mois d’utilisation, des dépôts de graisse ou de calcaire peuvent obstruer le disque
métal. Le nettoyer.
- Faire fonctionner la machine sans positionner le porte-filtre dans son logement afin que l’eau
s’écoule et nettoie le disque. Si l’eau ne s’écoule pas de façon uniforme, le disque est obstrué.
Auquel cas, amener l’appareil chez un technicien agréé.
- Le réservoir est mal inséré. Repositionner le réservoir en le poussant bien vers le bas.
- Vérifier qu’il a assez d’eau dans le réservoir.

5/ Le café est froid ou insipide :
- Le filtre n’a pas été correctement rempli.
- Pour obtenir un café plus concentré et plus chaud, il faut utiliser une mouture plus fine.

SPECIAL RECOMMENDATIONS :
• Use only cool water to fill the tank. Do not use carbonated/fizzy water.
• At certain time, and due to the pressure within the coffee maker, there may be some water or
steam coming out of the coffee spout.
• Before first use, use several times only with water, this to clean the system out completely.
• If you wish your first coffee to be hotter, place the filter in the appliance and allow one or two
cupfuls of water to flow. This way you shall warm up the components of the coffee maker.

GETTING STARTED
- Check that voltage of the appliance is the same as that indicated on the technical information
plate of the appliance.
- Place the appliance on a flat surface, ensuring that suction cups stick firmly to the surface.
- Fill the tank with cold water, taking care that it is correctly re-inserted in its housing.
- Insert the plug into the A/C outlet, which must be grounded.
- Now the power light (J) is red.
- Press the switch (M) to right (expresso mark L) to turn on the machine. The internal boiler has
begun to heat up. Till the indicator light (N) is green, press the expresso supply switch pump (O)
and then water is seen coming from the filter basket.
- If you are starting the machine for the first time or after a period of non-use, it is recommended
that at least one cup of water be allowed to pass through the boiler’s hydraulic circuit. This can be
achieved by turning knob (B) in an anti-clockwise direction after placing a cup under the nozzle of
the maxi cappuccino attachment (C), turn on switch (O) until seeing the clean water out of the
cappuccino attachment. Then close the knob (B) turning it in a clockwise direction and switching
off the switch (O) to stop water from being emitted.
THE MACHINE IS READY TO MAKE COFFEE WHEN THE INDICATOR LIGHT (N) GOES ON.
HOW TO MAKE COFFEE
- Measure out the coffee into the filter. For a double expresso shot, use two full measuring scoops
and for a single expresso shot, use one scoop.
- Insert the filter basket into position. Turn the filter basket anti-clockwise 40 to 45 degrees, or as far
as possible without using excessive pressure.
- A pre-heating time of 8/10 minutes is recommended, with the filter basket inserted to ensure a nice
hot first shot of expresso. For subsequent shots, this will not be necessary.
- The warning light (N) will go on and off from time to time, indicating that the boiler thermostat is
keeping the water at the correct temperature. We suggest that both first and subsequent shots be
made only when this light is green. Press button pump (O).
- Coffee will begin to flow through the filter basket nozzle.
- To stop the flow, press button (O) again.
- As with commercial-grade coffee machines, do not remove the filter basket when the supply
switch (O) is turned on. After having made the expresso, gradually loosen the filter basket by
turning it in a clockwise direction in order to reduce the internal pressure.
- If you cannot loose the handle, turn steam controller (B) to release the pressure and then turn
steam controller clockwise, you could succeed in loosening the filter basket.
- No special operation is necessary when the water in the tank runs out as the machine is equipped
with a special self-priming device. Just unplug the machine, pull out the tank and fill it with water
again.

- To make further shots of expresso, allow the boiler to cool by switching off the switch to stop
location. If you want the boiler to cool down quicker, turn steam controller (B) anti-clockwise and
press switch (O) to the ON position, allowing water to come out of the maxi cappuccino attach-
ment until the light indicator comes off again. Switch off pump (O) and turn (B) in clockwise
direction . Wait until the indicator light (N) is green before making another expresso.
HOW TO MAKE CAPPUCCINO
- To prepare cappuccino, hot chocolate or to heat other kinds of drinks, press switch (M) to steam
mark. The indicator light (I) is off. When it is green, the machine is ready to produce steam.
NOTE: if small puffs of steam come out of the filter holder while you are waiting for the steam, this is
to be considered absolutely normal.
- At this point, place a cup or a glass under the maxi cappuccino attachment (C ) and turn the steam
supply knob (B) in an anti-clockwise direction. At first, a little water will come out, immediately
followed by a strong jet of steam.
- Turn knob (B) in a clockwise direction still stop it and place the container of milk to be frothed
under the cappuccino attachment (C ).
- Immerse the nozzle in the container of milk and turn the steam supply knob (B) anti-clockwise
once again until the desired volume of froth is achieved.
- It is recommended that the steam supply knob (B) is only used when this light (I) is green.
PERIODICAL CLEANING
CAUTION: ALL CLEANING OPERATIONS DESCRIBED BELOW MUST BE PERFORMED WITH THE
MACHINE TURNED OFF.
CLEANING THE FILTER CONTAINING THE GROUNDS:
- Check that the internal holes are not clogged and, if so, clean them with a small brush. Check that
the hole underneath is not clogged and, if so, clean it with a pin.
CLEANING THE MAXI CAPPUCCINO DEVICE :
- Perform this operation when the chrome-plated pipe is cold, so as to prevent burns.
- Unscrew the device rubber sleeves from cappuccino attachment (C ) from the small pipe and

wash it with running water. The small pipe can be cleaned with a non-abrasive cloth. Screw the
device head back on as far as it will go. If necessary, clean the outlet hole in the device head
again with a pin.
CLEANING THE WATER TANK :
PERIODICALLY CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE TANK WITH A SPONGE OR A DAMP CLOTH.
- Clean the tray, the filter and the filter-holder with soap and water.
- The appliance body may be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive or chemical products which may damage the surfaces of the appliance.
- It is convenient to descale the appliance at least once a year. To do so, use a scaler apt for coffee
machines.
- After treatment, rinse the conducts several times by operate the appliance just with water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1/ The machine does not supply boiling water :
- Make sure that there is water in the tank.
- Air has probably entered into the circuit, des-activate the pump.
- Repeat the operations described in the section “Getting started”
- If the supply is not re-established after performing the above mentioned process, go to an
Authorized Service Centre.
2/ The machine does not supply steam :
- With a pin, remove any deposits which may have formed in the steam valve and rubber nozzle.
- Check that the water level in the tank is normal.
- If the problem persists after performing the above mentioned operation, go to an Authorized
Assistance Centre.
3/ Coffee overflowing from the edges of the filter ring :
- Probably an excessive amount of coffee grounds has been placed in the filter basket, preventing
the filter basket from being properly tightened into its housing. Let the machine cool and remove the
grounds, and try making another shot using the correct amount of grounds.
- Residues of coffee grounds have remained on the O-ring seal of the filter housing. Clean the seal
with a toothpick.
- If the problem persists after performing the above mentioned operation, go to an Authorized
Assistance Centre.

4/ The first shot does not come out or flows too slowly :
- Check the filter containing the ground coffee. If holes are blocked, they should be cleaned with a
small brush or suitable tool.
- It is also possible that a slow supply of coffee is caused by insufficient supply of water from the
perforated disc in the filter ring housing. In fact, it is possible that after several months of use, grea-
se or mineral deposits may obstruct the disc. In this case, operate the machine without the filter
basket in place, allowing the water to flow. If the water does not flow uniformly from all holes, it
means that the disc is clogged. Take the machine to the closest Authorized Service Centre to have it
cleaned.
- The tank is not inserted well. Fit the tank securely by pushing it as far as it will go.
- There is little water and the pump does not suck it up. Fill the tank.
- If the problem persists after performing the above mentioned operation, go to an Authorized
Assistance Centre.
5/ The coffee is too watery and cold
- The blend has been ground too coarsely.
- To obtain a more concentrated and hotter shot, finer ground coffee must be used.
- If the problem persists after performing the above mentioned operation, go to an Authorized
Assistance Centre.
