Remote
Rain Gauge with Outdoor Thermometer (RGR126N).
NOTE
Please keep this manual handy as you use
your new product. It contains practical step-by-step
instructions, as well as technical specifications and
warnings you should know about.
OVERVIEW
FRONT VIEW
1. Four-line LCD display: for displaying the total
rainfall, current rainfall or rainfall history, indoor/
outdoor temperature and clock/calendar.
2. UP: increase setting values; press and hold for
rapid increase;
3. HIST: toggle between rainfall history and daily rainfall
4. SINCE: press to review the date when the
measurement started. Press and hold to clear the
previous rainfall start time and reset the rainfall
counter to start again.

OVERVIEW
FRONT VIEW

GETTING STARTED
Position the main unit, rain gauge, and thermo sensor
within effective range:
Rain gauge – 100 meters/329 feet
Thermo sensor – 100 meters/329 feet
IMPORTANT
It is recommended that you follow the
sequence below while setting up the units:
1. Set up the main unit.
2. Set up the rain gauge, then press and hold SEARCH
on the main unit and wait until you receive a signal.
3. Set up the thermo sensor, then press and hold
SEARCH on the main unit and wait until you receive
a signal.
4. In the event that you do not obtain a signal from a
remote unit please repeat the process above.

1. Insert the batteries, matching the polarity (+/-) as
shown in the battery compartment.
2. Press RESET, or press and hold SEARCH on the
main unit to initiate operation. The reception icons
( and ) on the main unit will blink while it is
searching for the sensor or rain gauge.
NOTE
The main unit returns to default settings in each
battery replacement.
REMOTE SENSOR - INSERT BATTERIES
1. Remove the battery compartment cover by screw driver.
2. Insert the batteries, matching the polarities (+/-).
3. Press RESET after each battery change.

NOTE
Use alkaline batteries for longer usage and consumer
grade lithium batteries in temperatures below freezing.
REMOTE SENSOR
The main unit can collect data from up to two (2) sensors,
including one rain gauge and one outdoor thermo sensor.
To set up the sensor:
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Select a channel then press RESET.
3. Close the battery compartment cover.
4. Place the sensor within 100 m (329 ft) of the main
unit using the table stand or wall mount.
TIP
For accurate readings, ideal
placements for the sensor would
be in any location on the exterior
of the home at a height of no
more than 1.5 m (5 ft); and can
shielded it from direct sunlight or
wet conditions.
SENSOR DATA TRANSMISSION
To search for a sensor:
Press and hold SEARCH.
The sensor reception icon in the remote sensor
area shows the status (see below).

Main unit is searching for
sensor(s).
A channel has been found.
The sensor cannot be found.
The transmission range may vary depending on
many factors. You may need to place the sensor(s) in
different locations to get the best result.
RAIN GAUGE
The rain gauge collects rain and takes readings of rainfall
rate and the total rainfall over a period of time. The sensor
can remotely transmit data to the main unit.
The main unit and rain gauge should be positioned
within an effective range: about 100 m (329 ft) in an
open area.
The rain gauge should be mounted horizontally about
one meter (three feet) from the ground in an open area
away from tress or other obstructions to allow rain to fall
naturally for an accurate reading.

To set up a rain gauge:
1. Remove screws and slide the cover off in an
upwards motion,
2. Insert the batteries (2 x UM-3/AA), matching
the polarities (+/-). Press RESET after each
battery change.
3. Remove the ber tape.
To ensure a level plane:
Put a few drops of water on the cross at the base of the
funnel to check the horizontal level.
Water will pool to the center of the cross when the rain
gauge is level.
If water remains on 1-4, the gauge is not horizontal.
If necessary, adjust the level using the screw.

NOTE
For best results, ensure the base is horizontal to
allow maximum drainage of any collected rain.
SIGNALS
To search for the rain collector:
Press and hold SEARCH.
The remote rain collector reception indicator in the rainfall
area shows the status:

TIP
The transmission range may vary depending on
many factors. You may need to place the sensor(s) in
different locations to get the best result.
CLOCK
MANUALLY SET CLOCK
1. Press and hold MODE.
2. Press UP or DOWN to change the settings.
3. Press MODE to conrm.
4. The settings order is: 12/24 hr format, hour, minute,
year, calendar mode (day-month/month-day),
month, day and language.
NOTE
The language options are English (E),
German (D), French (F), Italian (I), and Spanish (S).
To select display mode:
Press MODE to choose between clock with
seconds/weekday/calendar.
RAINFALL
Today’s rainfall appears on the first line of the display.
Press in/mm to toggle between inches and millimeters.
RAINFALL HISTORY
The rainfall history is displayed on the first row of the
display. The main unit can record and store up to nine
days of rainfall.
To display the record for a particular day:
Press HIST to toggle
between daily rainfall
and rainfall history over
the past nine days. The
day of the record will be
displayed with a minus
(-) sign at the top left
hand corner. TODAY
means the record is for
the current day.
Other sensors using the 433 MHz transmission
frequency may influence the rainfall reading. Please avoid
placing those sensors too close to the unit.
TOTAL RAINFALL
The total rainfall is displayed on the second line of
the display.
To display the commencing date of the total
rainfall record:
Press SINCE. The date when the measurement
started will appear on the bottom line of the display.
To clear the existing commencing date and reset it
to start again:
Press and hold SINCE. The total rainfall will be
reset to zero and then collect the rainfall data
starting from today.

RAINFALL ALERT
To set the rainfall alert value:
1. Press and hold RAIN ALERT to enter setting mode.
2. Press UP or DOWN to toggle values.
3. Press RAIN ALERT to conrm. indicates rainfall
alert function is enabled.
To deactivate rainfall alert:
The rainfall alert will be activated when the rainfall is
equal to or more than the rainfall alert value; will
ash continuously.
To deactivate the rainfall alert, press RAIN ALERT
twice and wait for 8 seconds, or increase the
rainfall alert value.
TEMPERATURE
To toggle temperature unit:
Press between ˚C / ˚F.
RESET
Press RESET to return to the default settings.
NOTE
The main unit returns to default settings in each
battery replacement.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not subject the unit to excessive force, shock,
dust, temperature or humidity.
Do not cover the ventilation holes with any items
such as newspapers, curtains, etc.
Do not immerse the unit in water. If you spill liquid
over it, dry it immediately with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.
Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components.
This invalidates the warranty.
Only use fresh batteries. Do not mix new and old
batteries.

collected separately for special treatment and not
as household waste.

reimpostare a zero il contatore precipitazioni.
5. DOWN (GIÙ): diminuisce i valori di impostazione:
tenere premuto per un diminuzione rapida.
6. SEARCH (RICERCA): tenere premuto per forzare
una ricerca del pluviometro e del sensore remoto.
7. MODE (MODALITÀ): cambia visualizzazione tra
impostazioni/orologio.
8. Supporto rimovibile da tavolo: per posare l’unità

COME INIZIARE
Posizionare l’uni principale, ed il sensore termico
entro :
Misuratore di pioggia – 100 metri / 329 piedi
Sensore termico – 100 metri / 329 piedi
IMPORTANTE
Si raccomanda di seguire la sequenza
sottostante mentre impostate le unità:
1. Impostate l’unità principale.
2. Impostate il pluviometro, quindi tenete premuto il
tasto SEARCH (RICERCA) sull’unità principale ed
attendete no a che ricevete il segnale.
3. Impostate il sensore remoto, quindi tenete premuto
il tasto SEARCH (RICERCA) sull’unità principale
ed attendete no a che ricevete il segnale.
4. Se non ricevete un segnale da un’unità remota,
ripetere il processo precedente.

1. Inserite le batterie, abbinando correttamente la
polarità (+/-) come indicato nel comparto batteria.
2. Premete RESET (REIMPOSTAZIONE), o tenete
premuto SEARCH (RICERCA) sull’unità principale
per avviare il funzionamento. Le icone di ricezione
( e ) sull’unità principale lampeggeranno
mentre sta cercando il sensore o il pluviometro.
NOTA
Lunità principale torna alle impostazioni
predefinite a ogni sostituzione della batteria.
SENSORE REMOTO– INSERIMENTO
BATTERIE
1. Rimuovete il coperchio del comparto batteria con
un cacciavite.
2. Inserire le batterie rispettando le polarità.
3. Premete RESET dopo ogni sostituzione di batteria.

Usate batterie alcaline per un funzionamento più

L’unità principale può raccogliere dati da no a due
(2) sensori, includendo un pluviometro e un sensore
remoto.
Per impostare il sensore:
1. Aprite il comparto batteria.
2. Selezionate un canale quindi premete RESET.
3. Chiudete il coperchio del comparto batteria.
4. Collocate il sensore entro 100 m (329 piedi)
dall’unità principale usando il supporto da tavolo od
il supporto a parete.
Per delle
letture accurate, i posizionamenti
ideali per il sensore sarebbero in
qualsiasi posizione all’esterno
della casa ad un’altezza di non
più di 1,5 m (5 piedi); e p
essere posto al riparo dalla luce
solare diretta o da condizioni
di umidità.

Per ricercare un sensore:
Tenere premuto SEARCH.

SUGGERIMENTO
Il raggio di trasmissione può variare
in base a molti fattori. Potreste dover posizionare
i(l)sensore/i in diverse locazioni per ottenere i
migliori risultati.
PLUVIOMETRO
Il pluviometro misura il livello delle precipitazioni,
indicando il tasso di caduta totale, corrente e per un
determinato periodo di tempo. Il sensore può trasmettere
in remoto i dati all’unità principale.
L’unità principale e il pluviometro dovrebbero essere
posizionati entro un raggio efficace: circa 100 m (329
piedi) in un’area aperta.
Il pluviometro dovrebbe essere montato orizzontalmente
a circa un metro (tre piedi) dal suolo in un’area aperta
lontana da alberi o altre istruzioni per permettere
alla pioggia di cadere naturalmente per una lettura
accurata.
