Use & safety for battery-powered accessories
Your battery is designed to last the life of the product. It should only be
removed by a recycling facility. ANY ATTEMPT TO REMOVE OR REPLACE
YOUR BATTERY WILL DAMAGE THE PRODUCT.
Battery life may temporarily shorten in low-temperature conditions (-10°C
for storage/use below 0°C for recharge) or permanently reduce in high
temperature conditions (above 60°C for storage/use or above 45°C for
recharge).
• Do not let your mobile device get wet.
• Do not store your accessory in a parked car or direct sunlight.

and can have a cumulative effect. To protect your hearing:
Start your volume control at a low setting and use as low a volume as
possible.
Limit the amount of time you use headsets or headphones at high volume.
Where possible, use your headset in a quiet environment with low
background noise.
Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surrounding.
Turn the volume down if you can’t hear people speaking near you.
If you experience hearing discomfort, including the sensation of pressure or
fullness in your ears, ringing in your ears, or muffled speech, you should stop
listening to the device through your headset or headphones and have your
hearing checked by your doctor.

components of your headphones.

Wear your headphones
See figures 2 on page 2.
Once in place, the back of your headphones “float” over your neck.
If your headphones become attened or bent (such as when stored in a
backpack), twist the speakers in the direction to restore to original shape.
Charge your headphones
See figure 3 on page 2.
You’ll need to charge your headphone’s battery before using it.
The indicator light turns red when the battery is charging. When the
headphones’ battery is fully charged, the indicator light turns green.
Turn your headphones on & off
See figure 4 on page 3
Press and hold the Ö button until the indicator light turns green and you
hear a tone sequence.
Your headphones will not turn on while charging.
Note: If your headphones are idle for 5 minutes, they automatically turn off
to conserve battery charge.

Connect your headphones
Connect wirelessly
To listen to your music via Bluetooth wireless connection, as well as make
and receive hands-free calls, you need to pair (link) your headphones with
your Bluetooth phone and/or music player.
1. Turn off any Bluetooth devices previously paired with your headphones.
2. Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your Bluetooth phone or music player.
3. Turn on your headphones.
The indicator light flashes in red and green to indicate the headphones
are in discoverable mode.
4. Place phone or music player in Bluetooth search mode.
5. Select Motorola S305 from search results on your phone or music player
and confirm pairing following the on-screen instructions.
6. If prompted, enter 0000 passkey.
The indicator light rapidly flashes green every 3 seconds when complete.
For connect status:

After successfully pairing your headphones and Bluetooth device, you don’t
need to repeat these steps. For each use, ensure that your headphones are
turned ON and that your device’s Bluetooth feature is ON.

Connect wirelessly to 2 devices
(multipoint connection)
To connect to phone and music device at the same time:
1. Pair and connect to your phone first (see section “Connect Wirelessly).
2. Turn off your phone and your headphones.
3. Turn your headphones back on. The Bluetooth indicator flashes red and
green to indicate the headphones are in discoverable mode.
4. Set your music player to search for Bluetooth devices.
5. Select Motorola S305 from the search results on your music player.
Confirm pairing following the on-screen instructions. If prompted, enter
0000 passkey.
6. Turn off your headphones.
7. Turn your phone back on and make sure the Bluetooth feature is turned on
in both the phone and music device.
8. Turn your headphones back on. They should now connect to both
devices.
Test your connections
To confirm connection to your phone and/or music player :
• put the headphones over your ears
• make a call from your phone: you will hear ringing on your headphones
play music on your phone or music player: you will hear music on your
headphones

Connect to an iPod
You can connect to an iPod to listen to music on your headphones using a
Motorola adapter:
1. Turn off any Bluetooth devices previously paired with your headphones,
then turn your headphones off and on to place in pairing mode (indicator
light flashes red and green).
2. Turn your iPod on and make sure it is in pause mode.
3. Connect the adapter to your iPod.
4. Press the Play/Pause button on your iPod to search for your headphones.
When the adapter’s indicator light begins to ash slowly, it is in pairing
mode.
When your adapter and headphones connect, the adapter’s indicator
light changes to a slow pulse. Music playing from your iPod is heard on
your headphones.
Note: When on a call using your headphones for longer than 2 minutes, the
adapter and iPod enter power saving mode. Press the Play/Pause button on
the iPod twice to turn it back on and play music again.
Additional pairing tips
To initiate pairing (discoverable) mode manually when your headphones are
already powered on, press and hold and + buttons for about 3 seconds.
To clear the paired devices list in your headphones, press and hold Å and
-
buttons for about 8 seconds. The headphones are turned off upon clearing
the list.

Control your tunes
Playback controls on your headphones can be used when listening to music
from a Bluetooth-enabled music player that also provides remote control
capabilities (AVRCP).
If remote music control is not supported by your music player, music should
be controlled from your music player.

Note: With some music players, previous track must be pressed twice to go
back to the previous song. Refer to your music player’s manual for specific
control features.
To adjust volume for your calls, press either one volume button. You hear
a tone as you increase or decrease volume. When you reach maximum or
minimum volume, you hear 2 tones.
Note: The volume setting on your music player may affect volume on your
headphones.

Make and receive hands-free calls
Some features are phone/network dependent. Your headphones support
Hands-free and Headset profiles. Accessing call functions depends upon
which profile your phone supports. See your phone’s user’s guide for more
information.
Make a call
Using the headphones to make a call, you can redial the last dialed number
or make a voice dial call (if your phone supports this feature).
Short press make a voice dial call (you hear a prompt from your phone)
Long press — redial last number (you hear a tone when successful)
Receive a call
When there’s an incoming call, the main indicator light flashes green quickly
on your headphones, and you hear a ring tone over your headphones. If
music is playing when a call is received, the music pauses or mutes,
depending on your music player and connection setup.
