In the STIHL MultiSystem, various

MultiEngines and MultiTools are

combined to form a machine. In this

Instruction Manual, the functional unit of

MultiEngine and MultiTool is referred to

as a machine.

Accordingly, the instruction manuals for

the MultiEngine and the MultiTool

constitute the entire Instruction Manual

for the machine.

Always read both manuals carefully

before using your machine for the first

time and keep them safe for future

reference.

Engineering improvements

STIHL's philosophy is to continually

improve all of its products. For this

reason we may modify the design,

engineering and appearance of our

Therefore, some changes, modifications

and improvements may not be covered

in this manual.

Lend or rent your power tool only to

persons who are familiar with this model

and its operation – do not lend of rent

your power tool without the MultiEngine

and MultiTool instruction manuals.

Use the power tool only for aerating

lawns and similar grassed areas.

Do not use your power tool for any other

purpose because of the increased risk of

accidents.

Only use attachments and accessories

that are explicitly approved for this

power tool model by STIHL or are

technically identical. If you have any

questions in this respect, consult a

servicing dealer.

Use only high quality tools and

accessories in order to avoid the risk of

accidents and damage to the machine.

STIHL recommends the use of original

STIHL replacement parts, blades and

accessories. They are specifically

designed to match the product and meet

your performance requirements.

The deflector on this power tool cannot

protect the operator from all objects

thrown by the attachment (stones, glass,

wire, etc.). Such objects may ricochet

and then hit the operator.

Never attempt to modify your machine in

any way since this may increase the risk

of personal injury. STIHL excludes all

liability for personal injury and damage

to property caused while using

unauthorized attachments.

Do not use a pressure washer to clean

your power tool. The solid jet of water

may damage parts of the power tool.

Clothing and Equipment

Wear proper protective clothing and

equipment.

Avoid clothing that could get caught on

branches or brush or moving parts of the

machine. Do not wear a scarf, necktie or

jewelry. Tie up long hair so that it is

above shoulder level.

WARNING

Wear hearing protection, e.g. earplugs

or ear muffs.

STIHL offers a comprehensive range of

personal protective clothing and

equipment.

Transporting the Power Tool

Always shut off the engine.

Carry your power tool by the handle,

attachment in front of you.

Do not touch hot parts of the machine

since burn injury will result.

Transporting by vehicle: Properly secure

your power tool to prevent turnover, fuel

spillage and damage.

Before Starting

Check that your power tool is properly

assembled and in good condition – refer

to appropriate chapters in the

MultiEngine and MultiTool instruction

manuals.

– Blade correctly and securely

mounted and in good condition

(clean, move freely, not warped).

– Inspect the deflectors for damage

and wear. Do not operate the

machine with a damaged deflector –

replace damaged parts.

– Never attempt to modify the controls

or safety devices in any way.

– Keep the handles dry and clean –

free from oil and dirt – for safe

control of the power tool.

– Swing the bike handle to the normal

operating position and tighten it

down firmly with the rotary knob.

See chapter on "Adjusting the

Handlebar" in the MultiEngine

instruction manual.

To reduce the risk of accidents, do not

operate your power tool if it is damaged

or not properly assembled.

Check correct position of gearbox and

adjust if necessary. This helps reduce

the risk of injury from the MultiTool

rotating in the wrong direction.

Clothing must be sturdy

but allow complete free

dom of movement. Wear

snug-fitting clothing, an

overall and jacket combi

nation, do not wear a

work coat.

Wear steel-toed safety

boots with non-slip soles.

To reduce the risk of eye

injuries, wear close-fit

ting safety glasses in

accordance with Euro

pean Standard EN 166.

Make sure the safety

glasses are a comforta

ble and snug fit.

Wear heavy-duty work

gloves made of durable

material (e.g. leather).

If you use metal tools, position the

gearbox so that the axle is below the

drive shaft.

Use for:

– BF-MM pick tines

– BK-MM bolo tines

– FC-MM edger

– RL-MM aerator

Holding and Controlling the Power Tool

Make sure you always have good

balance and secure footing.

Always hold the power tool firmly with

both hands on the handles.

Right handle on control handle, left hand

on left handle.

During Operation

In the event of impending danger or in

an emergency, switch off the engine

immediately by moving the slide control

/ stop switch / button to 0 or STOP.

To reduce the risk of injury from contact

with the tool and thrown objects, do not

allow any other persons within a radius

of 5 meters of your own position. To

reduce the risk of damage to property,

also maintain this distance from other

objects (vehicles, windows).

The correct engine idle speed is

important to ensure that the attachment

stops moving when you let go of the

throttle trigger. Check and correct the

idle speed setting regularly. If the

attachment still rotates when the engine

is idling, have your dealer check your

machine and make proper adjustments

or repairs – see MultiEngine instruction

manual.

To reduce the risk of injury from thrown

objects or contact with the attachment,

never operate the unit without a properly

mounted deflector designed specifically

for the unit and the attachment.

Always stand behind the deflector or to

one side of the machine during

operation – never in front of the

attachment.

Take special care in slippery conditions

– damp or ice on slopes or uneven

ground.

To reduce the risk of accidents or injury,

remove all obstacles and objects from

the work area.

Inspect the work area – solid objects

(stones, pieces of metal, etc.) may

damage the attachment.

Operate your power tool at normal

walking pace only.

The gearbox becomes

hot during operation. To

reduce the risk of burn

injury, do not touch the

gearbox housing.

To avoid the risk of elec

tric shock, never use your

power tool in areas where

electrical lines are laid on

the surface or buried just

below the surface. Strik

ing and damaging such

lines with the attachment

could cause serious or

even fatal injury.

Be extremely cautious when pulling the

power tool towards you because of the

risk of injury from contact with the

rotating attachment.

Make sure you always have good

balance and secure footing.

Be extremely cautious when changing

direction with the power tool – especially

on slopes.

On slopes, always work parallel to the

gradient to reduce the risk of injury from

slipping or contact with the attachment.

Never work on steep slopes because of

the risk of injury through loss of control

of the power tool.

Take particular care when working close

to fences, walls, stones, roots, trees and

areas of dense growth. Solid objects

may be thrown in your direction or

damage the attachment – risk of

accidents.

When working next to high scrub,

bushes and hedges, take care not to

harm small animals.

Be particularly alert and cautious when

wearing hearing protection because

your ability to hear warnings (shouts,

alarms, etc.) is restricted.

To reduce the risk of accidents, take a

break in good time to avoid tiredness or

exhaustion.

Work calmly and carefully – in daylight

conditions and only when visibility is

good. Stay alert so as not to endanger

others.

If your power tool is subjected to

unusually high loads for which it was not

designed (e.g. heavy impact or a fall),

always check that it is in good condition

before continuing work – see also

"Before Starting". Make sure the safety

devices are working properly. Do not

continue operating your power tool if it is

damaged. In case of doubt, consult your

servicing dealer.

Do not touch the attachment while the

engine is running. If the attachment

becomes jammed by an obstruction,

switch off the engine immediately before

attempting to remove the obstruction.

Opening the throttle while the

attachment is blocked increases the

load and reduces engine speed. The

clutch then slips continuously and this

causes overheating and damage to

important components (e.g. clutch,

polymer housing components) – and this

can increase the risk of injury from the

cutting attachment moving while the

engine is idling.

Check the attachment at regular short

intervals during operation or

immediately if there is a noticeable

change in behavior:

– Shut off the engine, hold the unit

securely.

– Check condition and tightness, look

for cracks.

– Replace damaged working tools

immediately, even if they have only

superficial cracks.

Clean the attachment and deflector at

regular intervals during operation.

– Stopping the Engine

Wear gloves.

– Remove grass, weeds, clumps of

soil, etc.

To reduce the risk of injury, shut off the

engine before changing attachments.

Do not continue using or attempt to

repair damaged or cracked cutting

attachments by welding, straightening or

modifying the shape (out of balance).

After Finishing Work

After finishing work or before leaving the

unit unattended: Shut off the engine.

After finishing work, clean dirt, soil and

plant residue off the attachment – wear

gloves to reduce the risk of injury.

Do not use grease solvents for cleaning.

After thoroughly cleaning, coat metal

surface of attachments with a corrosion

inhibitor.

Maintenance and Repairs

Service the machine regularly. Do not

attempt any maintenance or repair work

not described in the MultiTool and

MultiEngine instruction manuals. Have

all other work performed by a servicing

dealer.

STIHL recommends that you have

servicing and repair work carried out

exclusively by an authorized STIHL

servicing dealer. STIHL dealers are

regularly given the opportunity to attend

training courses and are supplied with

the necessary technical information.

Only use high-quality replacement parts

in order to avoid the risk of accidents

and damage to the power tool. If you

have any questions in this respect,

consult a servicing dealer.

STIHL recommends the use of original

STIHL replacement parts. They are

specifically designed to match your

off the engine before carrying out any

maintenance or repairs or cleaning the

machine.

Your RL

MM is designed for aerating

lawns and other grassed areas.

Preparations

If the lawn is very dry, spray it with water

before you start work: this softens the

soil a little and reduces the amount of

dust created.

WARNING

Clear away all obstacles and solid

objects from the work area.

N Plan the best route for aerating.

Operate the MultiEngine with RL

aerator in the forward direction only.

The blades may only be mounted and

operated in one position. Arrows on the

blades show the required direction of

rotation – see chapter on "Mounting the

MultiTool".

WARNING

Never work without the deflector!

The deflector ensures that cuttings and

other debris are directed away from the

machine and operator.

Aerating the lawn

N Secure the handlebar in the normal

operating position.

N Start the engine.

N Operate at no less than half throttle,

or at full throttle.

N Choose a working speed that

produces the required aerating

depth without lugging down the

engine.

N Operate at no more than a normal

walking pace.

N Do not push the blades into the

ground.

Cleaning the blades

Pieces of grass or roots may become

tightly wrapped around blade mounting

and between the blades during

operation. Clean the blades as follows:

– Shut off the engine.

– Wear work gloves.

– Pull the hitch pins out of the axle.

– Pull the blades off the axle.

– Remove pieces of roots, plants and

soil.

Refer to "Mounting the MultiTool" for

mounting instructions.

Only use MultiEngines supplied by

STIHL or expressly approved by STIHL

for use with the MultiTool.

This MultiTool may only be used in

combination with the STIHL MM 56

MultiEngine.

Removing Existing MultiTools

WARNING

Wear gloves to reduce the risk of injury

from contact with sharp MultiTools

and/or hot surface of gearbox.

N Remove the hitch pins and pull the

MultiTools (if fitted) off the axle –

see also "Mounting the MultiTool" in

the instruction manual of the other

MultiTool.

N Clean the gearbox if necessary.

Checking Position of Gearbox

WARNING

To reduce risk of injury from the

MultiTool rotating in the wrong direction,

check that position of gearbox is correct

and adjust if necessary.

The axle (1) must be below the shaft (2).

Direction of rotation (3) of MultiTool.

Adjusting Position of Gearbox

N Loosen clamp screws on gearbox.

N Turn the gearbox through 180°.

N Line up the gearbox in the correct

position.

N Tighten down the two clamp screws

on the gearbox in the following

sequence:

– Tighten the first screw moderately.

– Tighten the second screw

moderately.

– Tighten down first screw firmly.

– Tighten down second screw firmly.

NOTICE

It must not be possible to rotate the

gearbox on the drive tube.

Mounting the MultiTool

N Arrange the blades in the order they

will be fitted on the axle, noting the

following points:

Left-hand and right-hand blades are

different. The direction of rotation is

marked with arrows on the gearbox and

blades. Make sure the arrows point in

the same direction.

N Rotate the inner right-hand

blade (4) on the axle until it can be

pushed into position – check the

direction of rotation again (arrows).

The hub of the inner blade is larger than

that of the outer blade.

N Rotate the outer right-hand

blade (5) on the axle until it can be

pushed into position – check the

direction of rotation again (arrows).

N Insert and engage the hitch pin (6)

in the hole in the axle – fold the hitch

pin flat against the blade.

N Use the same procedure to mount

the blades on the left-hand side.

Starting the Engine

Always follow the starting procedure

described in the MultiEngine instruction

manual.

N Secure the handlebar in the normal

operating position.

N Retract the wheels, if fitted – see

chapter on "Wheels" in MultiEngine

instruction manual.

N Retract the spur, if fitted.

Engine

N Check that the MultiTool is not

touching the ground or any other

obstacles. The unit must rest on the

engine flange and the support on

the frame.

N Make sure you have good balance

and secure footing – as shown in the

illustration.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of injury from contact

with the rotating attachment, always

stand to the side of the power tool, never

in front of the attachment.

N With your left hand on the loop

handle, press the unit firmly against

the ground – do not touch the

throttle trigger or lockout lever.

NOTICE

Do not stand or kneel on the handlebar

or frame.

WARNING

The attachment may begin to move as

soon as the engine starts. For this

reason, blip the throttle after starting –

the engine returns to idling speed.

Now follow the starting procedure

described in the MultiEngine instruction

manual.

Stopping the Engine

N See MultiEngine instruction manual.

For periods of 3 months or longer

N Remove, clean and inspect the

cutting blade.

N Store the machine in a dry, high or

locked location – out of the reach of

children and other unauthorized

persons.

The following intervals apply to normal

operating conditions only. If your daily

working time is longer or operating

conditions are difficult (very dusty work

area, etc.), shorten the specified

intervals accordingly.

repairs must be carried out by a

servicing dealer.

STIHL recommends that you have

servicing and repair work carried out

Le MultiSystème STIHL offre la

possibilité de combiner différents

moteurs MultiSystème et outils

MultiSystème pour composer une

machine. Dans la présente Notice

d'emploi, l'ensemble – en ordre de

marche – d'un moteur MultiSystème et

d'un outil MultiSystème est dénommé

machine ou dispositif à moteur.

Par conséquent, les Notices d'emploi du

moteur MultiSystème et de l'outil

MultiSystème constituent, ensemble, la

Notice d'emploi intégrale de la machine

ou du dispositif à moteur.

Il faut donc toujours lire attentivement

les deux Notices d'emploi avant la

première mise en service de la machine

et les conserver précieusement pour

N'apporter aucune modification à cette

machine – cela risquerait d'en

toute responsabilité pour des blessures

ou des dégâts matériels occasionnés en

Vêtements et équipements

Porter des vêtements et équipements de

protection réglementaires.

Ne pas porter des vêtements qui

risqueraient de se prendre dans le bois,

les broussailles ou les pièces en

mouvement de la machine. Ne pas non

plus porter d’écharpe, de cravate ou de

bijoux. Les personnes aux cheveux

longs doivent les nouer et les assurer de

telle sorte qu'ils soient maintenus au-

dessus des épaules.

AVERTISSEMENT

Porter un dispositif antibruit

« personnel » – par ex. des capsules

protège-oreilles.

STIHL propose une gamme complète

d'équipements pour la protection

individuelle.

Transport de la machine

Toujours arrêter le moteur.

Porter la machine par la poignée de

portage, avec l'outil de travail en avant.

Ne pas toucher aux pièces très chaudes

de la machine – risque de brûlure !

Pour le transport dans un véhicule :

assurer la machine de telle sorte qu'elle

ne risque pas de se renverser, d'être

endommagée ou de perdre du

carburant.

Les vêtements doivent

MultiSystème :

– Couteau : montage correct, bonne

fixation et état impeccable

(propreté, fonctionnement facile,

aucune déformation).

– S'assurer que les dispositifs de

protection ne sont ni endommagés,

ni usés. Il est interdit d'utiliser la

machine avec un capot protecteur

endommagé – remplacer les pièces

endommagées.

– N’apporter aucune modification aux

dispositifs de commande et de

sécurité.

– Les poignées doivent être propres

et sèches, sans huile ni autres

salissures – un point très important

pour que l'on puisse manier la

machine en toute sécurité.

– Déplier le guidon et le serrer

fermement avec la poignée

tournante. Voir le chapitre

« Réglage du guidon », dans la

Notice d'emploi du moteur

MultiSystème.

Il est interdit d'utiliser la machine si elle

ne se trouve pas en parfait état de

fonctionnement – risque d'accident !

Contrôler le positionnement correct du

réducteur, le rectifier si nécessaire.

Risque de blessure si l'outil

MultiSystème tourne dans le mauvais

sens !

Voir aussi les indications concernant le

« Montage de l'outil MultiSystème ».

Pour les outils métalliques, positionner

le réducteur de telle sorte que l'arbre

d'entraînement de l'outil se trouve en

bas, par rapport au tube.

Choisir cette position pour les outils

suivants :

– Sarcleuse BF-MM

– Cultivateur BK-MM

– Dresse-bordures FC-MM

– Aérateur RL-MM

– Démousseur MF-MM

Maintien et guidage de la machine

Toujours se tenir dans une position

stable et sûre.

Toujours tenir fermement la machine par

les poignées, à deux mains.

Tenir la poignée de commande de la

main droite et l'autre poignée du guidon

de la main gauche.

Pendant le travail

En cas d'urgence ou de danger

imminent, arrêter immédiatement le

moteur – placer le curseur combiné /

commutateur d'arrêt / bouton d'arrêt sur

la position 0 ou STOP.

À part l'utilisateur, personne ne doit se

trouver dans un rayon de 5 m de la

machine en marche – risque de blessure

par des objets projetés, ou en cas de

contact avec l'outil de travail ! Respecter

aussi cette distance par rapport à des

véhicules, des vitres etc. – risque de

dégâts matériels !

Veiller à ce que le ralenti soit

correctement réglé – de telle sorte

qu'après le relâchement de la gâchette

d'accélérateur l'outil de travail ne soit

plus entraîné et s'arrête. Contrôler

régulièrement et rectifier si nécessaire le

réglage du ralenti. Si l'outil de travail est

entraîné au ralenti, malgré un réglage

correct, faire réparer la machine par le

revendeur spécialisé – voir la Notice

d'emploi du moteur MultiSystème.

Ne jamais travailler sans le capot

protecteur qui convient pour la machine

et l'outil de travail utilisé – risque de

blessure par des objets projetés ou par

suite d'un contact avec l'outil de travail !

Au cours du travail, toujours se tenir

derrière le capot protecteur ou à côté de

la machine – jamais devant, dans la

zone de l'outil de travail.

Faire particulièrement attention sur un

sol glissant ou mouillé – de même qu'en

travaillant à flanc de coteau ou sur un sol

inégal etc. – risque de dérapage !

Dégager l'aire de travail en enlevant

tous les obstacles et autres objets

quelconques – risque d'accident !

Examiner le terrain : des objets durs

(pierres, morceaux de métal ou autres)

pourraient endommager l'outil de travail.

Mener la machine en avançant

seulement au pas.

Faire tout particulièrement attention en

tirant la machine vers soi – risque de

blessure par l'outil de travail en rotation !

Toujours se tenir dans une position

stable et sûre.

Faire très attention en faisant demi-tour

avec la machine – tout particulièrement

à flanc de coteau.

Sur les terrains en pente, toujours

travailler perpendiculairement à la

pente. Risque de blessure en cas de

dérapage ou de contact avec l'outil de

travail !

Ne jamais travailler sur des pentes

raides. L'utilisateur risquerait de perdre

le contrôle de la machine – risque de

blessure !

Travailler avec prudence, tout

particulièrement à proximité immédiate

de clôtures, de murs, de pierres, de

racines et d'arbres ou sur un terrain

couvert d'une végétation dense. Des

objets durs peuvent se transformer en

projectiles ou endommager l'outil de

travail – risque de blessure !

En travaillant le long de hautes

broussailles, de buissons ou de haies :

prendre soin de ne pas mettre des

animaux en danger !

En travaillant avec des protège-oreilles,

il faut faire tout particulièrement

attention – parce que des bruits

signalant un danger (cris, signaux

sonores etc.) sont moins bien

perceptibles.

Faire des pauses à temps pour ne pas

risquer d'atteindre un état de fatigue ou

d'épuisement qui pourrait entraîner un

accident !

Travailler calmement, de manière bien

réfléchie – seulement dans de bonnes

conditions de visibilité et d'éclairage.

Prendre les précautions utiles pour

exclure le risque de blesser d'autres

personnes.

Si la machine a été soumise à des

sollicitations sortant du cadre de

l'utilisation normale (par ex. si elle a été

soumise à des efforts violents, en cas de

choc ou de chute), avant de la remettre

en marche, il faut impérativement

s'assurer qu'elle se trouve en parfait état

de fonctionnement – voir également

« Avant la mise en route du moteur ». Il

faut notamment vérifier le bon

fonctionnement des dispositifs de

sécurité. Il ne faut en aucun cas

continuer d'utiliser la machine si la

sécurité de son fonctionnement n'est

pas garantie. En cas de doute, consulter

le revendeur spécialisé.

Tant que le moteur est en marche, ne

pas toucher à l'outil de travail. Si l'outil

de travail est bloqué par un objet

quelconque, arrêter immédiatement le

moteur – et enlever seulement ensuite

l'objet coincé – risque de blessure !

À l'utilisation, le réducteur

devient très chaud. Ne

pas toucher au carter de

réducteur – risque de

brûlure !

Il est absolument interdit

de travailler dans le voisi

nage de câbles

électriques posés sur le

sol ou juste en dessous

de la surface du sol –

risque d'électrocution ! Si

de tels câbles sont tou

chés et détériorés par

l'outil de travail, cela

risque de causer des

blessures très graves,

voire mortelles.

Si l'on accélère avec l'outil de travail

bloqué, la charge augmente et par

conséquent le régime du moteur baisse.

L'embrayage patine alors

continuellement, ce qui entraîne une

surchauffe et une détérioration

d'éléments fonctionnels importants

(par ex. embrayage, pièces en matière

synthétique du carter) – des dommages

subséquents, par ex. le fait que l'outil de

travail soit entraîné au ralenti,

présentent un risque de blessure !

Vérifier l'outil de travail à de courts

intervalles réguliers – et immédiatement

si le comportement de l'outil change :

– Arrêter le moteur, tenir fermement la

machine.

– Contrôler l'état et la bonne fixation –

s'assurer qu'aucun début de

fissuration n'est perceptible.

– Des outils de travail défectueux

doivent être remplacés

immédiatement, même en cas de

fissures capillaires minimes.

Au cours du travail, également, nettoyer

régulièrement la zone de l'outil de travail

et du capot protecteur.

– Arrêter le moteur.

– Mettre des gants.

– Enlever l'herbe, les mottes de terre

(engorgement !) etc.

Pour remplacer l'outil de travail, arrêter

le moteur – risque de blessure !

Ne pas continuer d'utiliser des outils de

travail endommagés ou présentant un

début de fissuration – et ne pas non plus

les réparer – par ex. par soudage ou

redressage – modification de la forme

(balourd).

Après le travail

À la fin du travail et avant de quitter la

machine : arrêter le moteur.

Après la fin du travail, enlever

régulièrement les saletés, la terre et les

débris de plantes pris dans l'outil de

travail – pour cela, mettre des gants –

risque de blessure !

Pour le nettoyage, ne pas employer de

produits dissolvant la graisse.

Après le nettoyage méticuleux, enduire

la surface des outils de travail

métalliques avec un produit

anticorrosion.

Maintenance et réparations

La machine doit faire l'objet d'une

maintenance régulière. Exécuter

exclusivement les opérations de

maintenance et les réparations décrites

dans les Notices d'emploi de l'outil

MultiSystème et du moteur

MultiSystème. Faire exécuter toutes les

autres opérations par un revendeur

spécialisé.

STIHL recommande de faire effectuer

les opérations de maintenance et les

réparations exclusivement chez le

revendeur spécialisé STIHL. Les

revendeurs spécialisés STIHL

participent régulièrement à des stages

de perfectionnement et ont à leur

disposition les informations techniques

requises.

Utiliser exclusivement des pièces de

rechange de haute qualité. Sinon, des

accidents pourraient survenir et la

machine risquerait d'être endommagée.

Pour toute question à ce sujet,

s'adresser à un revendeur spécialisé.

STIHL recommande d'utiliser des pièces

de rechange d'origine STIHL. Leurs

caractéristiques sont optimisées tout

spécialement pour cette machine, et

pour répondre aux exigences de

l'utilisateur.

Pour la réparation, la maintenance et le

nettoyage, toujours arrêter le moteur –

risque de blessure !

L'outil MultiSystème aérateur RL

est conçu pour aérer (scarifier) les

surfaces de gazon.

Préparatifs

Si la pelouse est très sèche, il convient

de l'arroser légèrement : cela ramollit un

peu le sol et réduit le dégagement de

poussière.

AVERTISSEMENT

Enlever tous les obstacles ou objets qui

se trouvent sur l'aire de travail ;

N déterminer le sens de marche pour

la coupe.

Le moteur MultiSystème muni de

l'aérateur RL

MM doit être utilisé en

avançant.

Les couteaux ne doivent être utilisés

que dans une seule position. Les flèches

appliquées sur les couteaux indiquent le

sens de rotation prescrit – voir

« Montage de l'outil MultiSystème ».

AVERTISSEMENT

Ne jamais travailler sans capot

protecteur !

Ce dernier fait dévier les saletés et les

végétaux coupés, dans le sens opposé

à la machine et à l'utilisateur.

Aération du gazon

N Amener le guidon dans la position

de travail ;

N mettre le moteur en marche ;

N travailler avec la commande

d'accélérateur au moins à mi-

course ou à pleins gaz ;

N doser la force d'avance de telle

sorte que l'outil atteigne la

profondeur de travail souhaitée et et

que le régime du moteur ne baisse

pas considérablement ;

N la vitesse d'avance ne doit pas

dépasser la vitesse normale d'une

personne marchant au pas ;

N ne pas exercer de pression pour

enfoncer les couteaux dans le sol !

Nettoyage des couteaux

Au cours du travail, des morceaux de

plantes, par ex. de l'herbe ou des

racines, peuvent s'enrouler très

fermement autour de la prise de l'outil et

autour des couteaux. Pour nettoyer les

couteaux :

– arrêter le moteur ;

– mettre des gants ;

– extraire la goupille élastique de

l'arbre ;

– retirer les couteaux de l'arbre ;

– enlever les débris de plantes

(racines) et les mottes de terre.
