outlet and secure until hand-tight.
4. Screw the garden hose onto the water inlet pipe.
5. Attach the other end to the water spigot.
USING DETERGENT
IMPORTANT! Only use the Black (Soap) Nozzle when
spraying detergents. The power of the other nozzles will
propel mist back at the operator and can embed detergent
into the surface.
1. Read the detergent’s directions. Only use detergents specified for
use with pressure washers.
2. Prepare detergent solution as recommended by the manufacturer.
3. Remove the detergent tank's cap.
4. Fill the tank with the prepared detergent. Use a funnel if necessary.
5. Replace the cap on the tank.
6. Follow instructions to start the pressure washer.
OPERATIONS
Choose the nozzle aperature that best meets the needs of the job. Only
use the on surfaces capable of withstanding the force of the spray.
PRESSURE NOZZLE SELECTION
The pressure washer has two spray nozzles (see Specifications). Other
spray nozzles may be purchased separately.
Each nozzle is color coded and delivers a specific spray arc between
0° and 65°. The narrower the degree arc, the higher the pressure at
the water spray’s point of contact with the item being cleaned. Distance
from the item that is being sprayed will also factor into the pressure
level at the point of contact.
The table identifies the colour, arc and an amplep The purpose
example is only a suggestion as some items are made of multiple
V1.0 2,000 PSI ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER 8977035
Page 9 Assistance available at www.princessauto.com or 1-800-665-8685
materials and not all materials will withstand the force of the
pressurized spray. Choose the nozzle with the largest spray arc, if you
are unsure how much pressure to apply to an item without damaging it.
Switch to a nozzle with a narrower degree angle until you find the one
that achieves the results you want.
Colour Arc Purpose
Red Narrow stream to clean and
remove embedded grit or
grime from concrete or brick
surfaces.
Yellow 1 Heavy duty cleaning of
concrete surfaces or
without use of chemicals.
Green 25° Clean wood surfaces
compacted dirt, paint, oil or
mildew. Also for use with
chemicals.
White 40° Clean delicate surfaces like
stucco or siding. Also patio
furniture or home siding.
Black
(Soap)
65° Wet surfaces or apply
chemicals/detergents. Does
not provide enough force to
clean by itself.
ATTACH THE WATER HOSE
1. Attach the hose to a water spigot. The water hose muse be 10 ft or
longer with no other connections that will restrict or divert the water
flow.

2. Check the screen in the pump’s water inlet valve and remove any
debris
3. Run water through hose to flush out debris, before attaching the
end to the water inlet.
STARTING THE PRESSURE WASHER
WARNING! Press the red switch on the bottom of the spray
gun to prevent accidental activation. Aim the spray gun in a
safe direction and test the trigger to ensure the lock is
working.
NOTICE! DO NOT siphon standing water for the water
supply. Particulate matter can contaminate the pump. Use
only clean, cold water (less than 100°F / 37.7°C).
NOTICE! DO NOT run the pump without the water supply
connected and turned on. This may damage the pump
mechanism beyond repair.
When the motor is running, do not allow the pressure washer to remain
idle for more than two minutes. If allowed to remain idle, the water in
the unit will heat up, possibly causing damage to the pressure washer.
1. Turn on the water spigot.
2. Squeeze the trigger for one minute to purge air
from the system. Reset the trigger guard.
3. Turn the pressure washer on by twisting the dial
to the ON position.
USING THE PRESSURE
WASHER
1. Unlock and hold down the trigger to start the stream. Be aware
that when it is first started, the gun will kick.
2. Start with a low pressure nozzle and gradually use higher
pressures as needed.
a. Test spray the surface at an edge to make sure that the
stream is not too strong.
b. If the stream damages the surface, move farther away to
reduce the applied pressure.
Fig. 1

Page 11 Assistance available at www.princessauto.com or 1-800-665-8685
c. If the stream is still too strong, lock the trigger in the safety
position and change to a lower pressure nozzle.
3. Hold the wand at about a 45° angle when cleaning; spraying the
surface directly could embed dirt into the surface (especially with
the high pressure nozzles). Spray at distance of about three to five
feet.
4. Clean vertical and sloped surfaces from the top down.
5. When cleaning horizontal surfaces, occasionally use the stream to
clear the area of excess water.
6. Hold the trigger down and move the wand back and forth slowly
and steadily to pressure wash the surface. Take special care when
spraying surfaces made of two different materials (brick and
mortar, for example), so as to not damage the softer of the two
materials during pressure washing.
STOPPING THE PRESSURE WASHER
NOTICE! Always turn off the power before stopping the
water supply. Running the pressure washer without water
can damage the pump.
1. Once the task is complete, turn the power off and press the trigger
to remove the built-up pressure in the tool.
2. Lock the trigger when pressure is relieved.
3. Press the reset button on the GFCI plug
4. Disconnect the power and water source.
5. Disassemble the pressure washer for storage once work is done.
6. Tip the pressure washer onto it's side to remove water from the
pump

WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair
the tool. An improperly repaired tool may present a hazard
to the user and/or others.
AFTER EACH USE
CHECK HIGH PRESSURE HOSE
WARNING! NEVER repair the high pressure hose. Repairs
can fail and will be weaker than the hose itself. A hose that
fails while under pressure can inflict a serious injury.
Replace with a hose that has a maximum pressure rating
that exceeds the pressure washer’s maximum output.
The high pressure hose can develop leaks due to wear, kinking or
misuse and abuse. Inspect the hose each time before using it. Check
the hose for cuts, leaks, abrasions or bulging spots. Also check the
couplings to ensure they are not loose. Replace the hose immediately if
any of these conditions exist.
CHECK SPRAY GUN
Examine the hose connection to the spray gun and make sure it is
secure. Check that the trigger lock is in place to prevent accidental
spraying. Replace the spray gun immediately if the trigger lock is
damaged or will not remain in place.
CHECK SPRAY WAND AND
A pulsing sensation felt when squeezing the trigger indicates either the
spray wand or the pressure nozzle is partially clogged and is causing
pressure to build in the pump.
V1.0 2,000 PSI ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER 8977035
Page 13 Assistance available at www.princessauto.com or 1-800-665-8685
1. Shut off the motor and turn off the water supply. Then release the
pressure in the pump system by aiming the spray gun in a safe
direction and squeezing the trigger.
2. Use the cleaning pin or a small paper clip to free any foreign
material clogging or restricting the spray nozzle.
3. Back flush the nozzle to remove the debris.
4. Disconnect the spray gun wand and check for foreign material that
may clog the tube.
5. Remove additional debris by back flushing water through the spray
gun wand using a garden hose.
6. Reconnect spray wand to the spray gun.
7. Make sure the garden hose is connected to the pump’s water inlet.
Check that high pressure hose is connected to spray gun and
pump. Turn on the water.
8. Start the motor following instructions Starting Your Pressure
Washer
REPAIRING LEAKING CONNECTIONS
WARNING! Do not use thread-seal tape or liquid to prevent
leaks in the high pressure hose. This can cause a high
pressure leak that can result in a serious injury or injection
injury.
1. Replace the o-rings of any connection that leaks.
2. Replace the connectors if the leaks continue.
3. Tip the pressure washer onto it's side to remove water from the
pump
STORAGE
1. Disconnect the spray gun from the high pressure hose after the
pressure washer is cool and the water pressure is released.
2. Drain all water from the high pressure hose, coil it and store it in
cradle of pressure washer handle.
