• All appliances are subject to strict quality control procedures. These

include actual usage tests on randomly selected appliances, which

would explain any traces of use.

• Always close the lid when running the coffee maker.

• Do not brew coffee if the carafe already has coffee in it.

• To prevent any overﬂow, the carafe must be placed on the heated base

of the coffee maker, otherwise there could be some overﬂow of hot

water or hot coffee.

• The coffee maker becomes very hot during the infusion cycle. Please

handle it with care.

• Do not disassemble the appliance.

• Do not use the jug without the lid.

• Do not pour hot water in the tanks.

• The coffee-maker shall not be placed in a cabinet when in use.

Before using for the ﬁrst time

• Use your ﬁlter coffee maker without coffee the ﬁrst time using the

equivalent of a jug of water to rinse the circuits.

Making coffee

(Follow ﬁgures 1 to 8)

• Use only cold water.

• Do not exceed the maximum water level indicated on the tank.

• This coffee maker is equipped with a drip stop so that you can serve

coffee before the cycle ends. Replace the jug immediately in order to

avoid overﬂowing.

• Wait a few minutes before you make coffee a second time.

Programming

Setting the time

• Plug in the coffee maker. The LCD screen (d) will display AM 12:00 and

ﬂashes for a few seconds.

• Press the H Button in order to set the hour. You may do this repeatedly,

or continually for faster hour progression.

• AM indicates morning hours and PM, afternoon and evening hours.

• Once you have set the hour, press the MINI button for minutes and

follow the same procedure.

• Once the minutes are set, wait for the ﬂashing to stop and the set time

will be validated. Otherwise, press the (j) button once.

• The programming will have to be repeated in case of a blackout or if the

coffee maker is unplugged.

• PLEASE NOTE: You can set or adjust the time at any moment. Hold the

button down for a minimum of 3 seconds . Once the time ﬂashes on

the screen, you may adjust the time using the H and Min buttons.

Program mode functioning

• In order to program your coffee maker, press the PROG button once.

• Set the hour and minutes according to the time you wish your coffee

maker to start (please refer to “Programming”, above).

• Validate the set time by pressing the PROG button once more.

• The screen will display the set time and the green light signal (l) will

turn on.

• In order to display the current time again, brieﬂy press the button.

• At the set time, the red light signal will turn on and the coffee maker

will start.

WARNING: The set program is automatically deactivated at the end

of the coffee cycle; however, the set time is saved. Reactivate the set

program every day by pressing on the PROG button. In order to set a

different time, please refer to paragraph “Using the appliance in the

Program Mode”.

It is possible at all times:

• Turn your coffee maker ON or OFF by pressing the button.

• Cancel the programming by pressing the PROG button for 2 seconds.

When you do so, the green light signal (l) will turn off.

• In order to reactivate the program on your coffee maker, press the

PROG button once.

• To change the set time, press the PROG button once more.

Manual functioning

Follow ﬁgures 1 to 8.

• Press the button. The red light signal will turn on and the coffee

maker will start functioning.

• Press the button once more to stop functioning.

CLEANING

• To dispose of the used coffee grounds, remove the ﬁlter from the coffee

maker.

• Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool down.

• Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.

• Do not clean the appliance while it is still hot.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.

• None of the coffee maker parts should be put in the dishwasher.

Descaling

• Descale your coffee maker every month or every 40 cycles.

You can use:

–a packet of descaling agent diluted in two large cups of water.

–or two large cups of commercially available white vinegar which can

be purchased in hardware stores.

• Pour into the tank (b) and turn on the coffee maker (without coffee).

• Let the equivalent of one cup pour into the jug, then turn the coffee

maker off.

• Allow the liquid to stand for one hour.

• Restart the coffee maker and let the rest of the liquid pass through to

the jug.

• To rinse, run the coffee maker 2 or 3 more times with the equivalent of

one glass jug of water.

The guarantee does not cover coffee makers that malfunction or

cease to operate because they have not been regularly descaled.

PLEASE NOTE

• Whether you use your coffee maker manually or in the program mode, it

will turn off automatically about 30 minutes after the end of each cycle.

• During those 30 minutes, your coffee will be kept warm, at the right

temperature.

• When your coffee maker is switched on, it produces a single “beep” and

produces two “beeps” when it is switched off (depending on model).

centre, where it will be disposed of properly.

The Guarantee**

TEFAL/T-FAL guarantees this product against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship during the guarantee period

within those countries*** as stated in the attached country list, starting from the initial date of purchase or delivery date. The

international manufacturer’s guarantee covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its

original specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labour. At TEFAL/T-FAL’s choice, an

equivalent or superior replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. TEFAL/T-FAL’s sole obligation

and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to such repair or replacement.

Conditions & Exclusions

TEFAL/T-FAL shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase. The

product can be taken directly in person or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method

of postage), to a TEFAL/T-FAL authorised service centre. Full address details for each country’s authorised service centres are listed

Antes de la primera utilización

• La primera vez que ponga a funcionar la cafetera evite rellenarla de café

y emplee el equivalente a una jarra de agua para aclararla.

Preparación del café

(siga las ilustraciones 1 a 8)

• Emplee sólo agua fría.

• No sobrepase la cantidad máxima de agua indicada en el nivel de agua

del depósito.

• Esta cafetera está equipada con un sistema antigoteo que permite

servirse un café antes de que termine de pasar el agua. Para evitar

desbordamientos, reemplace rápidamente la jarra.

UTILIZACIÓN

• Antes de realizar una segunda preparación de café aguarde unos

instantes.

Programación

Ajuste de la hora

• Enchufe la cafetera a la red eléctrica. La pantalla LCD (d) mostrará la

indicación AM 12:00, la cual parpadeará durante unos segundos.

• Pulse el botón H para escoger la hora, bien varias veces o bien de forma

continua para un avance más rápido.

• AM indica las horas de la mañana y PM las horas de la tarde.

• Una vez ajustada la hora, pulse el botón MIN utilizando el mismo

procedimiento.

• Cuando los minutos estén ajustados, espera a que los números dejen de

parpadear y la hora quedará validada o bien pulse una vez el botón (j).

• En caso de que se produzca un corte del suministro eléctrico o bien si

desenchufa la cafetera será preciso repetir esta operación.

• NOTA IMPORTANTE: Podrá conﬁgurar y ajustar la hora en cualquier

momento. Mantenga pulsado el botón durante un mínimo de

3 segundos. Una vez que la indicación de la hora parpadee en la

pantalla, podrá proceder a ajustarla utilizando los botones H y Min.

Funcionamiento en modo de programación

• Para programar la cafetera, pulse 1 vez el botón PROG.

• Ajuste la hora y los minutos según el momento en que desee que la

cafetera se ponga en marcha (véase más abajo el párrafo «Ajuste de

la hora»).

• Valide el ajuste pulsando nuevamente el botón PROG.

• La pantalla muestra la hora de programación y el testigo luminoso de

color verde (l) se ilumina.

• Para mostrar nuevamente la hora actual pulse brevemente el botón .

• A la hora programada, el piloto rojo se iluminará y la cafetera empezará

a funcionar.

ATENCIÓN: la programación se desactiva automáticamente al

ﬁnalizar el ciclo del café pero el horario programado se mantiene.

Parareactivar la programación cada día basta pulsar el botón PROG.

Para programar una nueva hora, consulte el apartado «funcionamiento

en modo de programación».

Podrá en cualquier momento:

• Poner en marcha o detener la cafetera pulsando el botón .

• Anule la programación pulsando durante 2 segundos el botón PROG

(eltestigo luminoso (l) se apagará).

• Para reactivar la programación, pulse 1 vez el botón PROG.

• Para modiﬁcar la hora de programación, pulse el botón PROG.

Funcionamiento manual

Siga las indicaciones de las ilustraciones 1 a 8.

• Pulse el botón , el piloto rojo se ilumina y la cafetera empieza a

funcionar.

• Para apagar la cafetera vuelva a pulsar el botón .

NOTA

• Tanto si usa su máquina de café en modo manual o programado, se

apagará automáticamente al cabo de aproximadamente 30 minutos al

ﬁnal de cada ciclo de preparación del café.

• Durante estos 30 minutos, su café se mantendrá caliente y a una

temperatura adecuada.

• Su cafetera emitirá un tono de aviso al encenderla y dos al apagarla

(en función del modelo).

LIMPIEZA

• Para eliminar el poso de café, retire el ﬁltro que contiene el poso de café.

• Desconecte el aparato y deje que la cafetera se enfríe.

• Límpiela con un paño o una esponja húmeda.

• No limpie el aparato mientras aún esté caliente.

• Nunca sumerja el aparato en líquido alguno.

• Ninguna de las partes de la cafetera debe introducirse en el lavavajillas.

Descalciﬁcación

• Elimine la cal de la cafetera cada mes o bien tras 40 ciclos de uso.

Puede utilizar:

–una bolsa de producto antical diluida en dos grandes tazas de agua.

–o bien 2 grandes tazas de vinagre de alcohol blanco.

• Viértalo en el depósito (b) y ponga la cafetera en marcha (sin café).

• Deje que se ﬁltre en la jarra el equivalente a una taza y luego detenga

la cafetera.

Su aparato contiene numerosos materiales de valor o reciclables.

Confíe este a un punto de recogida o en su defecto a un Servicio Técnico

Oﬁcial para que se lleve a cabo su tratamiento.

La directiva europea 2012/19/CE sobre Residuos de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (RAEE),
