USING OM-GRYPHON RADIO CRADLE
The OM-GRYPHON cradle, paired with one Gryphon™ series reader, builds
a Cordless Reading System for the collection, decoding and transmission of
barcoded data.
It can be connected to a Host PC through an RS232, Wedge or Pen
emulation cable and is suited for a single-cradle layout.
Once it is powered, the yellow LED goes on. It will blink, only when the cradle
receives data from the gun. The red LED indicates the battery is charging.
Once the battery is charged, the green LED on the cradle goes on.
To setup your OM-GRYPHON cradle you must:
1. Make all system connections.
2. Configure the OM-GRYPHON cradle.

SYSTEM CONNECTIONS
CAUTION
Connections should always be made with power OFF!
You can connect the OM-GRYPHON cradle to the Host through the dedicated
connector, using the cable corresponding to the desired interface type.
CONNECTING / DISCONNECTING THE OM-GRYPHON
INTERFACE CABLE
The OM-GRYPHON can be connected to a Host by means of an RS232,
Wedge or Pen emulation cable which must be simply plugged into the Host
connector, placed on the base of the cradle. In addition the cradle must be
connected to an external power supply, see the figure below.
Figure 1 – OM-GRYPHON - Bottom view
To disconnect the cable, insert a paper clip or other similar object into the hole
corresponding to the Host connector on the body of the cradle. Push down on
the clip while unplugging the cable. Refer to the following figure:

OM-GRYPHON CONFIGURATION
The OM-GRYPHON configuration can be performed in two ways: either by
reading configuration barcodes with the Gryphon™ reader or by sending
configuration strings from the Host via the RS232 interface.
Once you have performed system connection and Gryphon™ reader
configuration, you can configure the OM-GRYPHON cradle. Apply power to
the OM-GRYPHON.
For the Gryphon™ configuration refer to the “Gryphon™ Quick Reference”.
To configure the OM-GRYPHON using the Gryphon™ reader (the one paired to
the cradle with the Bind command), follow the given sequence and the
instructions.
