Symbols and warnings
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE indicates a situation which, if not avoided, could
result in damage to the Croozer Kid Plus, Croozer Kid,
Croozer Ski Set or the environment.
Tip: In this manual, “Tip” indicates helpful advice about the
use or maintenance of the Croozer Ski Set.
Read and observe this manual
This manual contains information that is extremely impor-
tant for the safe transport of your child. Therefore, it is es-
sential that you read the entire manual carefully and follow
the instructions closely. If you should experience dif cul-
ties understanding any of the information or instructions,
please contact your Croozer dealer. Keep this manual
handy at all times for future reference. If you loan or sell
your Croozer Ski Set, pass on this manual to the new user.
Furthermore, be sure to follow the instructions and warn-
ings given in the owner’s manual of the Croozer Kid Plus
or Croozer Kid.
Who can tow the Croozer with the Ski Set?
Please keep in mind that adequate experience and a good
level of physical tness are required for safely towing the
loaded Croozer Kid or Kid Plus on skis. The person who
tows the Croozer with the Ski Set must be a competent
cross-country skier and know how to react to various types
of terrain. It is very important not to underestimate the
increased physical effort associated with towing a loaded
trailer.
Beforeyourfirstouting...
It is vitally important that you familiarize yourself with the
Croozer Ski Set before you use it for transporting children.
Prior to your rst outing with passengers, Zwei plus zwei
GmbH recommends that you practice towing the trailer
(without passengers) in a calm, traf c-free area; load the
trailer with cargo of approximately the same weight as the
child or children you will be towing, for example, by strap-
ping a loaded rucksack into the child seat. This is a great
way to acquaint yourself with the handling and dimensions
of the trailer. Ideally, you should also take the Croozer
(without passengers but with an equivalent load) for a
practice run on terrain that is more challenging than the
route you intend to ski later with the child(ren).
Buckle up!
Children riding in the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus must be
strapped into the safety harnesses at all times. Follow the
instructions provided in the owner’s manual of the Croozer
Kid or Kid plus for adjusting and fastening the safety har-
nesses correctly.
Children who are not properly secured in a safety harness
could sustain life-threatening injuries in the case of ac-
cidents or sudden stops.
Adult supervision
Never leave children unattended in the Croozer Kid or
Kid Plus. It is the adult’s responsibility to ensure that the
ventilation and temperature conditions in the Croozer are
safe and comfortable for the child(ren) at all times. Check
on the passenger(s) frequently to make sure they are safe
and comfortable in the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus.
Protection against low temperatures
The fabric body of the Croozer Kid and Kid Plus does not
protect passengers from the cold. Therefore, be sure to
dress your child(ren) for outdoor temperatures. Keep in
mind that the child will be sitting still in the Croozer Kid or
Kid Plus. Dress children in appropriately warm clothing
and check on them regularly to make sure they are warm
enough in the Croozer.
Keep handlebar attached
Leave the handlebar attached to the Croozer Kid and Kid
Plus at all times. In the event of an accident, it acts as a
roll bar, protecting the passengers.
Crushing hazard
When folding and unfolding the Croozer Kid and Kid Plus,
keep ngers and hands clear of all possible pinch points
(e.g. movable frame parts and locking mechanisms).
Using the Croozer with the Ski Set
Before each outing, check the following:
• Are the ski adapters securely attached to the frame of
the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus?
• Are the ski adapters locked securely into the ski bind-
ings?
• Are all security pins correctly inserted and locked?
Check that none of the security pins are hanging freely
from their straps.
Turning
Keep in mind that, with the rigid tow bars of the Croozer
Ski Set, you will not be able to make sharp turns, just like
when you are pulling the Croozer as a Bicycle Trailer with
the hitch arm. Making wide turns will help prevent the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus from tipping over. It is also impor-
tant to remember that, owing to the length of the Ski Set,
you will need more space for making turns.
Skiing down inclines
Always reduce your speed when skiing down inclines.
Avoid steep inclines, and keep in mind that you have no
brakes. You will have to use your skis to slow your momen-
tum with the additional weight of the loaded Croozer.
Dangers on hilly terrain
Keep in mind that the Croozer Kid and Kid Plus have no
parking brake when used on skis. The Croozer Kid or Kid
Plus with the mounted Ski Set can slide down slopes when
left unattended. Always park the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus
on at surfaces.
Close the cover
Always keep the mesh and/or plastic windows closed
when using the Croozer in the snow. It protects the

passenger(s) from cold wind and falling snow. The plastic
windows and fabric cover of the Croozer Kid and Kid Plus
offer only minimal protection against UV rays. Take the
same precautions as you would outdoors to protect your
child’s skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
Respecting others
The Croozer Kid and Croozer Kid Plus with the mounted
Ski Set require a lot of space owing to its width and length.
Use caution with oncoming skiers, especially on narrow
trails. Keep in mind that you will require more time for
crossing over trails, railway tracks, etc.
Carrying cargo
Never transport cargo items together with children on the
seat or in the foot area. Cargo must be well secured in
the rear cargo compartment to ensure that it cannot shift
during transport. Loose cargo and overloading can change
the handling of the Croozer Kid and Kid Plus, making it
more difcult to control. Furthermore, cargo items can fall
against the seatback and injure the passenger(s). Never
transport animals together with children in the Croozer Kid
or Kid Plus. Never use the handlebar for carrying loads,
such as sleds or bags (other than the Handlebar Console
available as an accessory). Cargo attached to the outside
of the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus can drastically affect its
handling and stability, potentially resulting in accidents with
serious injury or death.
Use, storage, and transport
Never transport the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus – even when
folded – on the roof of a motor vehicle, as this could dam-
age the fabric body.
Never use or store the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus at tempera-
tures below – 4°F (–20°C). Extremely low temperatures
can cause the plastic windows to become brittle.
Installation, maintenance, and repair
Proper installation and repair
It is vitally important that the Ski Set be properly installed.
Be sure to follow the instructions in this manual for the
correct installation and attachment of the tow bars, ski
adapters, and harness. When in doubt, contact your
Croozer dealer. All repairs must be carried out to profes-
sional standards using only original Croozer parts, ideally
by a professional bicycle mechanic. Incorrect installation or
repair work could result in accidents with serious injury or
death.
Technical condition
Never use the Croozer Ski Set if it is not in perfect working
order. The Croozer Ski Set must be periodically inspected
for damage and/or wear. If any parts are found to be dam-
aged, the Croozer Ski Set may not be used until the dam-
age has been properly repaired, ideally by a professional
bicycle mechanic.
It is critical that all maintenance work specied in the sec-
tion “Inspecting and Maintaining the Croozer Ski Set” (p.
10) be performed in the specied intervals.
Using the Croozer Ski Set when it is not in perfect working
order can result in accidents with serious injury or death.
Suitable accessories and original spare parts
Only use accessories and original spare parts that have
been recommended and approved by Zwei plus zwei
GmbH. These are the only components that can be used
safely with the Ski Set and the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus.
When in doubt, consult a Croozer dealer. The use of non-
approved accessories or incompatible spare parts could
result in accidents with serious injury or death. Zwei plus
zwei GmbH cannot be held responsible for any damage
resulting from the use of non-approved accessories or
incompatible spare parts.
Warnings
Plastic bags and packaging materials can be dangerous!
To avoid the danger of suffocation, keep plastic bags and
packaging away from babies and children. Babies and
children could pull plastic bags or packaging over their
heads and suffocate.
It is vitally important that the Ski Set be properly installed.
An improperly installed Ski Set could cause accidents
with serious injury or death. If you should experience
difficulties understanding or performing the installation,
please contact a professional bicycle mechanic.
After the ski adapters have been attached, be sure to
check that they are both locked securely into the axle
receivers. This can be done by pulling on the ski adapt-
ers without pressing the buttons. It should not be possible
to remove the ski adapters unless you are pressing the
buttons. Ski adapters that are not securely locked into
the axle receivers could fall off while skiing, resulting in
accidents with serious injury or death.
Always check that the security pins of the tow bars have
been inserted as far as they will go and that they cannot
fall out. If the security pins are not properly inserted, the
tow bars could fall off while in use, resulting in accidents
with serious injury or death.
After assembling the tow bars, be sure to check that they
are locked securely together. This can be done by pulling
on the bars without squeezing the buttons. It should not
be possible to pull out the extension bars without squeez-
ing the buttons.
After the elastomer shock absorbers have been con-
nected to the tow bars, be sure to check that the connec-
tion is secure. This can be done by pulling on the shock
absorbers without squeezing the buttons. It should not be
possible to pull out the connectors without squeezing the
buttons.
The retaining balls and push-button pins of the axles
must be cleaned and lubricated on a regular basis. Other-
wise, the ski adapters could fall off while skiing, resulting
in accidents with serious injury or death.
After removing the ski adapters, be sure to have your
ski bindings readjusted to the skier by a professional ski
shop. Using skis with incorrectly adjusted ski bindings
could cause accidents with serious injury or death.

Notices
Do not let the straps of the security pins get caught
between the bar and attachment brackets as this could
damage the straps.
If you are planning to use the Croozer Ski Set for cross-
country skiing, you also have to check whether there is
sufficient space between the ski poles and the Croozer.
Check whether the tip of your ski pole comes in contact
with the front of the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus. The sharp
tips of the ski poles could damage the fabric body of the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus.

What is the Croozer Ski Set?
The Croozer Ski Set makes it possible to use the Croozer
Kid and Kid Plus in the snow. Standard children’s skis are
mounted to the ski adapters, which can be attached to
the Croozer in place of the side wheels. The Ski Set also
includes a waist harness with removable shoulder straps,
which can be used for towing the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus
on foot, skis, or snowshoes. For this purpose, the towing
rods included in the Ski Set are attached to the hitch-
arm and Stroller-wheel-arm attachment brackets on the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus. The Sylomer
®
suspension system
of the Croozer Kid Plus also works with the mounted ski
adapters, providing increased comfort for riding over snow.
Requirements for using the Croozer Ski Set
The Ski Set can only be used in combination with a pair of
suitable children’s skis with bindings. The Ski Set DOES
NOT include skis. Children’s skis from 80-100 cm (31.5-
40 inch) in length are suitable for use with the Croozer.
The bindings must be adjusted for a boot-sole length of
235 mm (9.25 inch). If you do not feel con dent about
adjusting the bindings yourself, please consult a quali ed
specialist.
How should the Croozer Ski Set be used?
The Croozer Ski Set is intended for private use for carrying
children in the Croozer Kid or Croozer Kid Plus on cross-
country ski trails or snow-covered paths. The instructions
and safety guidelines provided in this manual must be
followed at all times. The Croozer with Ski Set may only
be pulled by an adult on foot, snowshoes, or cross-country
skis. The usage guidelines outlined in the owner’s manual
of the Croozer Kid and Kid Plus also apply to the use of
the Croozer with the Ski Set.
How shouldn’t the Croozer Ski Set be used?
The use of the Ski Set on steep terrain or ski slopes is
not permitted. Never use the Croozer Ski Set for downhill
skiing. The Croozer with Ski Set can only be towed by a
person. Never tow the Croozer behind animals (e.g. sled
dogs) or motorized vehicles (e.g. snowmobiles). Further-
more, the requirements outlined in the owner’s manual
for using the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus as a Bicycle Trailer,
Buggy, or Stroller also apply to the use of the Croozer with
the Ski Set. Zwei plus zwei GmbH will not be liable for
any damages resulting from non-compliance with these
requirements.
Orientation and wording
Unless otherwise indicated, the terms “right” and “left”
in this manual refer to the passenger’s right or left when
seated in the Croozer, facing forward (i.e. relative to the
direction of travel).
For the sake of clarity, the Croozer Kid Plus for 1 is shown
in most of the photos and graphics used in this manual.
However, the descriptions also apply to the Croozer Kid
Plus for 2, the Croozer Kid for 2, and the Croozer Kid for 1.

Unpacking the Croozer Ski Set
The Ski Set includes the following individual parts:
a waist harness (1) with removable shoulder straps (2) and
permanently attached elastomer shock absorbers (3), two
angled bars (4) for attaching to the hitch-arm and Stroller-
wheel-arm attachment brackets on the Croozer Kid and
Kid Plus, four extension bars (5), two ski adapters (6), and
this owner’s manual.
Remove all plastic packaging materials from the parts of
the Ski Set, and recycle all packaging if possible.
Plastic bags and packaging materials can be dangerous!

• Step D: Attaching the tow bars to the Croozer Kid or Kid
Plus
• Step E: Attaching the harness to the tow bars
• Step F: Adjusting the harness and tow bars
Step A: Preparing the Croozer Kid or Kid
Plus for the installation of the Ski Set
If the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus was most recently being
used as a Bicycle Trailer, remove the hitch arm, side
wheels, and safety ag.
If the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus was being used as a Stroller,
remove the Stroller wheel, wheel arms, and side wheels.
If the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus was being used as a Buggy,
remove the Buggy wheel and side wheels.
The Croozer Kid or Kid Plus is now ready for the installa-
tion of the Ski Set.

Step B: Attaching the skis to the ski adapters
1. Make sure that the ski bindings are adjusted to a boot-
sole length of 235 mm (9.25 inch).
2. The tension of the ski bindings must be adjusted to the
maximum release/retention setting because, if the set-
ting is to low, the skis could come loose or fall off while
the trailer is in use. Have the release setting of the ski
bindings adjusted by a professional ski shop. Be sure
to follow the instructions given in the manual for your
ski bindings.
After removing the ski adapters, be sure to have your
ski bindings readjusted to the skier by a professional ski
shop. Using skis with incorrectly adjusted ski bindings
could cause accidents with serious injury or death.
3. The ski adapters are marked with the letters “L” and
“R”. Attach the left ski adapter to the left ski by rst
slipping the front plate (1) of the adapter into the front
of the binding and then pressing down on the heel
plate (2) to lock the adapter into the binding. Use the
same procedure to attach the right adapter to the right
ski.
Tip: Pulling up on the heel lever of the binding will make it
easier to lock in the adapter.
Step C: Attaching the ski adapters to the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus
The ski adapters are equipped with push-button axles.
When you press the button (3), the retaining balls (4) that
lock the axles into the receivers will retract within the axle.
The adapters with skis cannot be attached or removed un-
less the button is pressed. The heel plates of the ski adapt-
ers are marked with the letters “L” and “R”. Be sure to
mount each ski adapter to the correct side of the Croozer.
1. Use one hand to lift up the back of the Croozer Kid or
Kid Plus.
2. Press the button (3) of the adapter axle.
3. Croozer Kid Plus: Insert the adapter axle (5) all the
way into the axle receiver (6) in the suspension swing
arm of the Croozer Kid Plus, and release the button.
Croozer Kid: Insert the adapter axle (5) all the way into
the axle receiver in the frame of the Croozer Kid, and
release the button. (Not pictured)
4. Now check that the ski adapter is securely locked into
the receiver by pulling on the adapter without pressing
the button. It should not be possible to remove the ski
adapter.
5. Repeat these steps to attach the second ski adapter.
After the ski adapters have been attached, be sure to
check that they are both locked securely into the axle
receivers. This can be done by pulling on the ski adapt-
ers without pressing the buttons. It should not be possible
to remove the ski adapters unless you are pressing the
buttons. Ski adapters that are not securely locked into
the axle receivers could fall off while skiing, resulting in
accidents with serious injury or death.

6. To remove the ski adapters, follow these instructions
in the reverse order. Press the button (3) on the axle,
and pull the adapter out of the axle receiver.
Step D: Attaching the tow bars to the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus
The Ski Set comes with two angled (7) and four straight
(8) bars. The angled bars are attached to the respective
brackets (9) on the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus in the same
way as the hitch arm or Stroller wheel arms. One angled
bar is mounted to the hitch-arm attachment bracket on
the left side of the frame, and the other, to the wheel-arm
attachment bracket on the right side of the frame (relative
to the direction of travel). The angled bars are marked “L 1”
and “R 1”.
1. Lift the front of the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus.
2. Pull the security pins (10) out of both attachment
brackets.
Tip: Position each angled bar so that it curves inward,
ensuring that the hole (11) in the left bar is facing
upwards. The angled bar for the right side of the
Croozer has no hole.
3. Hold the left angled bar (7) at an approx. 45° angle to
the hitch-arm attachment bracket (9). The hole (11) in
the angled bar must be facing upwards.
4. Guide the retaining bolts (12) at the end of the angled
bar gently into the slots of the attachment bracket.
5. Then fold the bar upwards into the attachment bracket
until the bolts (12) of the bar are fully engaged in the
slots of the attachment bracket.
Do not let the strap of the security pin get caught
between the bar and attachment bracket as this could
damage the strap.
6. Insert the security pin (10) as far as it will go through
both holes of the attachment bracket. The head of the
security pin is magnetic and will adhere to the attach-
ment bracket.
Tip: If you are using an older Croozer Kid or Croozer Kid
Plus model, the bracket may have a wire-lock pin
instead of a ball-lock pin.
Always check that the security pin has been inserted as
far as it will go and that it cannot fall out. If the security
pin is not properly inserted, the tow bar could fall off while
in use, resulting in accidents with serious injury or death.
7. Follow the same steps to mount the second angled
bar to the right side of the Croozer.
8. Now you can attach the extension bars (8). The
somewhat longer and thinner bars are attached to the
angled bars. When mounting the bars, pay attention
to the respective stickers. The left extension bar and
angled bar are both marked with “L 1” (13). Squeeze
the two side buttons (14) on the extension bar using
your thumb and forenger and insert the extension
bar into the angled bar. The stickers on the two bars

should be facing the same direction. There are two
insertion positions (15, 16); begin by using the rst
position (15). The other position is for adjusting the
tow-bar length. For more information, see “Adjusting
the harness and tow bars” on page 8.
9. Follow the same steps for attaching the second exten-
sion bar on the left side. When inserting the second
left extension bar into the rst, the two “L 2” stickers
should be facing the same direction. This bar also has
two possible insertion positions (17, 18); begin by us-
ing the rst position (17).
10. Follow the same steps to attach the extension bars on
the right side of the Croozer.
After assembling the tow bars, be sure to check that they
are locked securely together. This can be done by pulling
on the bars without squeezing the buttons. It should not
be possible to pull out the extension bars without squeez-
ing the buttons. Using the Ski Set with tow bars that have
not been locked securely together could cause accidents
with serious injury or death.
Step E: Attaching the harness system to the
tow bars
Elastomer shock absorbers (19) with integrated tow-bar
connectors are permanently attached to the left and right
sides of the waist harness.
Tip: There are two ways of attaching the harness system
to the tow bars. One option is to first attach the har-
ness system to the tow bars on the ground and then
buckle the harness around your waist. The second
option is to first buckle the harness around your waist
and then attach the tow bars by lifting them to your
waist and inserting the connectors. We recommend
using the first method in the beginning so that you can
familiarize yourself with the attachment procedure.
1. Place the harness system on the ground in front of the
tow bars, ensuring that the opening of the harness is
facing in the direction of travel (i.e. towards the front)
and the shoulder straps are at the top of the harness.
2. Squeeze the two side buttons (20) on the left elas-
tomer shock absorber (19) using your thumb and
fore nger and insert the connector into the left tow bar.
The end of the left towbar is marked “L 3” (21). Insert
the connector until it locks into place in the hole (22) in
the tow bar.
3. Repeat these steps to connect the second elastomer
shock absorber.
After the elastomer shock absorbers have been con-
nected to the tow bars, be sure to check that the connec-
tion is secure. This can be done by pulling on the shock
absorbers without squeezing the buttons. It should not
be possible to pull out the connectors without squeezing
the buttons. Using the Ski Set with tow bars that have not
been locked securely together could cause accidents with
serious injury or death.

Step F: Adjusting the harness and tow bars
You can adjust the harness system and tow bars to your
body size. Be sure to follow the instructions below. Cor-
rectly adjusted tow bars and a properly tting harness
system are essential for the safe and comfortable use of
the Ski Set.
Tip: The harness system is easy to adjust, meaning that
adjustments can also be made outdoors, for example,
when switching to a different towing person. However,
prior to using the Croozer Ski Set for the first time, it is
a good idea to familiarize yourself with the adjustment
process at home.
1. Begin by adjusting the width of the waist harness. To
adjust the width of the harness, open the snaps (23)
at the back of the harness and reattach them in the
S-XL position. Try on the harness in the various snap
positions by wrapping it rmly around your waist while
holding it on both sides of the open buckle. The pivot
points of the elastomer shock absorbers (24) should
be positioned over the outermost (i.e. lateral) points of
the hip bones.
2. Close the buckle (25) and adjust the tightness of the
belts (26) so that the waist harness is fastened snugly
but comfortably around your waist on top of your hips.
3. Now pull the shoulder straps (27) up over the shoul-
ders and close the buckle (28) in front of the chest.
The shoulder straps can be adjusted in front at two
sites (29). Adjust the length of the shoulder straps;
they should be snug enough to stabilize the waist har-
ness without pulling it upwards.
Tip: If you prefer to use the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus with-
out shoulder straps, you can unsnap them (30) from
the waist harness.
4. Now you can adjust the length of the tow bars. To
adjust the length of the tow bars, you must be wearing
the waist harness. Connect the elastomer shock ab-
sorbers to the tow bars and stand straight. The length
of the tow bars is properly adjusted if the frame of the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus is approximately level to the
ground (31). The tow bars have three possible lengths
(see diagram on page 11):
1. Extension bar 1 and extension bar 2 can both be
set to the rst insertion position (32, 35).
2. Extension bar 1 can be set to the second inser-
tion position (33), with extension bar 2 in the rst
position (35).
3. Or both extension bars can be set to the second
insertion position (33, 34).
Adjust the tow bars by squeezing the respective
buttons with two ngers and sliding the bars into the
desired positions, ensuring that the buttons lock into
place. Take care not to twist the bar when adjusting
the length.
Tip: It is easier to adjust the length of the tow bars with the
help of another person. The second person can check
whether the Croozer frame is level to the ground and
adjust the tow bars as required.

5. If you are planning to use the Croozer Ski Set for
cross-country skiing, you also have to check whether
there is suf cient space between the ski poles and the
Croozer. Hold your ski pole behind you in the fur-
thest back position of your pole-swing motion. Check
whether the tip of your ski pole comes in contact with
the front of the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus. If so, lengthen
the tow bars until there is suf cient space between the
ski pole and the Croozer.
It is essential that you perform this check to ensure that
there is sufficient space between the ski poles and the
Croozer. Otherwise, the sharp tips of the ski poles could
damage the fabric body of the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus.
Removing the Croozer Ski Set
To remove the Ski Set, follow the instructions above in the
reverse order.
Because the tension of the ski bindings was adjusted to
the maximum release/retention setting for use with the
Croozer Ski Set, the bindings must now be professionally
readjusted to the release requirements of the respec-
tive skier. The release/retention setting is dependent on
many factors and must be accurately adjusted to the skier.
Therefore, be sure to have this adjustment performed by a
professional ski shop. If the settings are too high, acci-
dents with serious injuries could occur while skiing.
If you are not certain who will be the next person to use the
skis and which settings are required, then you should have
the ski shop adjust the ski bindings to the lowest release/
retention settings for safety reasons.
After removing the ski adapters, be sure to have your
ski bindings readjusted to the skier by a professional ski
shop. Using skis with incorrectly adjusted ski bindings
could cause accidents with serious injury or death.

Maintaining the ski adapters
The axles of the ski adapters are equipped with a special
mechanism for easy attachment and removal. The retain-
ing balls (1) and push-button pins (2) of the axles must be
cleaned and lubricated on a regular basis.

Otherwise, the ski adapters could fall off while skiing,
resulting in accidents with serious injury or death.
1. Wipe off the axle with a clean cloth to remove dirt and
grime.
2. If any dirt or grime remains around the push-button pin
(2) or retaining balls (1), then clean them with a small
brush.
3. Lubricate these parts, and press the button (3) several
times to distribute the lubricant evenly. The push-but-
ton pin and retaining balls must be able to move freely.
4. Use a clean cloth to wipe off any excess lubricant.
Tip: The axle can be lubricated using a bicycle-chain lubri-
cant or similar lubricants, such as sewing machine oil,
chainsaw oil, etc.
Inspecting the Croozer and Ski Set after an
accident
If the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus with the Ski Set has been
involved in an accident, the Croozer and Ski Set must be
inspected by a professional bicycle mechanic before they
can be used again, even if there is no visible damage. Ac-
cidents can leave behind tiny, and often invisible, hairline
cracks in critical components whose failure would adverse-
ly affect the safety of the vehicle.
Inspecting and Maintaining the
Croozer Ski Set
To ensure that your Croozer Ski Set will have a safe, long,
and problem-free service life, inspections and maintenance
must be performed at regular intervals. If any parts are
found to be damaged, the Ski Set may not be used until
the damage has been properly repaired.
Inspection intervals
Before each outing – or every day– check the overall
condition of the Croozer Kid or Kid Plus and Ski Set to
identify any parts in need of repair or replacement. Gener-
ally, a visual inspection is sufcient. Is everything where it
belongs, can any tears be seen in the fabric body, can any
tears be seen in the harness system, are any of the metal
parts cracked or bent, and are the security pins locked
securely in place?
Service intervals
Be sure to observe the inspection and service intervals
outlined in the owner’s manual of the Croozer Kid or Kid
Plus. It is essential that you have your Croozer Kid or Kid
Plus serviced at least once a year by a professional bicycle
mechanic. The ski bindings should be regularly inspected
by a professional ski shop.
Inspecting the ski adapters and tow bars
Inspect the ski adapters, tow bars, and their respective
attachment parts regularly for damage. If a part is cracked,
dented, bent, or damaged in any way, the Ski Set may not
be used with the respective part until it has been replaced
or repaired. Have all damaged parts repaired or replaced
immediately by a professional bicycle mechanic.
Inspecting the harness
Check the harness regularly for damage. Small tears or
holes can be repaired. Torn straps and damaged buckles
must be replaced.

How do I clean and maintain my Croozer Ski
Set?
Clean the fabric parts of the harness system and all metal
parts with water, a soap solution, or a mild household
detergent. Use biodegradable cleaning agents whenever
possible to minimize environmental impact. A soft brush
can be used to clean areas of heavy soiling. Never use
solvents, such as mineral spirits, or other aggressive
chemicals. Never use pressure washers.
To protect metal parts from corrosion, a thin coat of paste
wax can be applied. Preserving metal parts with paste
wax is especially important because you will be using the
Croozer Kid or Kid Plus with the Ski Set in wet weather
conditions and in the winter.
How do I store my Croozer Ski Set?
General information
The storage recommendations given in the manual of the
Croozer Kid and Kid Plus also apply to the Ski Set: Store
your Croozer Kid or Kid Plus, if possible, in a dry, warm,
and well-ventilated area. The minimum storage tempera-
ture is – 4°F (–20°C); lower temperatures could cause
the fabric body, and particularly the plastic windows, to
become brittle.
If you cannot store your Croozer Kid or Kid Plus indoors,
then use a waterproof cover to protect it from the ele-
ments. For this purpose, we recommend the Croozer Stor-
age Cover, which is available as an accessory.
To protect metal parts from corrosion, especially in winter
weather, apply a thin coating of paste wax to all metal
surfaces.
Warranty
The statutory warranty in the country or state of purchase
has unlimited application to the above-mentioned products.
This warranty only applies to defects inherent to the mate-
rial supplied and does not cover damage due to improper
use, use of force, lack of maintenance, or normal wear and
tear.
The period of statutory warranty depends on the law of the
country in question.
Servicing Information
If the Croozer Ski Set shows any sign of defects, contact a
Croozer dealer, who will forward your claim to us. In order
to process your claim, we – and/or your dealer – will need
the original sales receipt.
