Inspection Procedures: It is our recommendation that in a mobile or trucking
application, the PneuClean filter element be inspected on a weekly
basis and changed at least every 12 months.
For PneuClean filter elements part numbers PC5001.
The following inspection procedure must be implemented in order for
the product warranty to be in effect. Any change or deviation from this
procedure voids the Dixon Bayco product warranty and removes Dixon
Bayco from any contamination liability.
• Remove quick disconnect V-clamp, remove end cap.
• CAUTION: Open slowly and listen for pressure.
• Pull the element completely out of the assembly housing.
• Carefully look into the housing at the bottom gasket and guide
plate.
• Check to see if the white bottom gasket is in place and clean.
Replace if missing, broken or damaged. Clean the housing if dirty.
• Check the inside of the sidewall of the housing for oil residue and
small particles. Remove with clean cloth, steam, or cleaning
device of choice.
• Carefully inspect the outer surface of the filter element by looking
into the pleated area for very dark color media, oil or grease
residue, fiberglass fibers, and caked on product. If this surface
appears to have heavy deposits of contaminates such as metal,
iron oxide or caked on product, and/or the element has been in
service for twelve months it should be replaced.
• Turn the element up on its end where you can look down into the
open end. Use a light or flashlight, if needed. Carefully look at the
sides of the element.
• If the screen wire and/or media show signs of deterioration
replace immediately
• If the screen wire and/or media do not show signs of
deterioration, but has been in operation for 12 months,
replace filter immediately.
• If product is caked up inside this area, replace
immediately.
• If the element has been run longer than 12 months replace
immediately.
• Inspect lid o-ring and replace if damaged.
• Loosen adjusting bolt, replace lid and clamp ring. Tighten clamp
ring. Tighten adjusting bolt and lock nut. Replace acorn nut.

CAUTION!
Do not service this filter canister while under pressure!
We recommend maintaining a filtration inspection logbook to assist in
establishing a replacement schedule that is optimal for your fleet.
PneuClean Mounting Information
PneuClean should be mounted to the frame or stable platform by using the
two mounting brackets (P/N PC5003). These brackets are stainless steel 1.25"
X 8.00" in diameter, with feet and 7/16" pre-drilled holes.
When mounting vertically to the frame, the brackets are mounted
approximately 6-8" on center. The mounting brackets are to secure the filtration
unit to the tractor; allow at least 6" between the brackets in order to stabilize
the unit. There must be at least 20" between the end cap and the road surface
in order to remove the filter element.
When mounting horizontally to the frame, the brackets should be mounted
approximately 10"-15" on center. There must be at least 20" beyond the end
cap in order to remove the filter element for inspection or replacement. In most
installations, the quick disconnect coupling (with rain cap) can be used. There
should be some type of support for the hot hose, either on the tractor or on the
trailer.
NOTE: Neither the inlet or the outlet piping on the PneuClean unit were
designed or fabricated to hold non-supported hoses and/or piping. This can
void all warranties. Hot hoses and/or piping should be supported with
structurally sound brackets, which are not connected to the PneuClean units.
Before starting please inspect the unit for any damage which might have been
caused during shipping.
There are two primary places PneuClean filtration units can be mounted on
the road tractor or on the dry bulk trailer.
Tractor
When mounting PneuClean on the tractor, the units can be mounted either
horizontally or vertically this application offers an added benefit in that the filter
unit will act as a silencer if mounted within 24” of the blower discharge port.
Do not hard mount the filtration unit to the blower. A soft silicon pipe should
be placed between the two. When hard mounted blower vibration has caused
stress cracks along the side weldment of the inlet pipe on the filtration unit.

Recommended rubber hose to use between the units is either a 3.5” or 4.5”
diameter silicon turbo “step-hump-hose”. Consider the following while
installing the unit:
♦ The unit can be mounted either horizontally or vertically.
♦ You must allow a minimum of 6” – 8” between mounting bracket
anywhere along the tubed housing
♦ There must be a minimum of 20” beyond the end cap in order to
remove the filter element for inspection or replacement.
Trailer Mounting
There are several ways of mounting PneuClean on dry bulk trailers.
The main criteria to remember are:
♦ The hot hose should be supported; the inlet weldment will not
support the hot hose and quick disconnect for a long period of
time.
♦ You can mount vertically or horizontally by bolting the mounting
bracket to a structural member or permanent part of the trailer.
♦ Allow a minimum of 6"- 8" between mounting bracket anywhere
along the tubed housing.
♦ There must be at least 20" beyond the end cap in order to remove
the filter element for inspection or replacement.
♦ There should be a check valve after the filtration unit to stop any
product in the event of reverse flow.

Procédure d’inspection: Nous vous recommandons que pour les applications
mobiles ou de camionnage, que l’élément du filtre PneuClean doit être
inspecté de façon hebdomadaire et doit être remplacé au moins à
chaque année.
Pour une pièce de remplacement commander la pièce PC5001.
La procédure d’inspection suivante devrait être mise en œuvre pour
que la garantie du produit soit valide. N’importe quelle altération de
cette procédure annulera la garantie du produit Dixon et Dixon ne sera
pas responsable en cas de contamination.
• Retirez le loquet à connexion rapide ‘’V’’, retirez le couvercle.
• ATTENTION: Ouvrez-le lentement et écoutez pour la pression.
• Retirez l’élément complètement du boitier.
• Examinez avec attention le fond du boitier et la plaque de guidage.
• Vérifiez si le joint d’étanchéité blanc est propre et en place.
Remplacez-le s’il est brisé ou endommagé. Nettoyez le boitier s’il
est sale.
• Vérifiez le mur intérieur du boitier pour le résidu d’huile et de
petites particules dans le boitier. Enlevez-les avec un chiffon
propre, de la vapeur ou un appareil de nettoyage de choix.
• Examinez avec attention la surface extérieure du filtre en
regardant dans les zones plissées pour des marques de couleurs
foncées, des résidus d’huile ou de graisse, de la fibre de verre et
des produits durcis. Si la surface à beaucoup résidu comme le
métal, l’oxyde de fer ou des produits secs et/ou l’élément est en
service depuis 1 an vous devriez le remplacer.
• Tournez l’élément sur l’extrémité où vous pouvez regarder vers le
bas dans l’extrémité ouverte. Utilisez une lumière ou une lampe
de poche si nécessaire. Examinez avec soin les cotés de
l’élément.
• Si le filtre et son contenu montre des signes de
détérioration ou est en service depuis 1 an remplacez-le
immédiatement.
• S’il y a des produits durcis sur l’intérieur du filtre
remplacez-le immédiatement.
• Inspectez le joint torique du couvercle et remplacez-le s’il est
endommagé.
• Relâcher le boulon d’ajustement, remplacez le couvercle et
l’anneau de retenu. Serrez l’anneau de retenu. Serrez le boulon et
l’écrou d’ajustement. Remplacez l’écrou borgne.

Nous vous recommandons d’avoir un journal d’inspection de filtration afin de
faciliter un horaire de remplacement qui est optimal pour votre flotte.
Information d’installation pour PneuClean
PneuClean devrait être installé sur le châssis ou sur une plateforme stable
en utilisant les supports (PC5003). Ces support sont en acier inoxydable
1.25" X 8.00" de diamètre, avec des pieds et des trous de 7/16".
Lorsque vous l’installez verticalement, les supports sont installés
approximativement à 6-8” du centre. Les supports sont installés afin de
sécuriser l’appareil de filtration sur le tracteur; laissez au moins 6” entre les
supports pour stabilisez l’appareil. Il doit avoir au moins 20" entre le couvercle
et la surface de la route pour pouvoir enlever le filtre.
Lorsque vous l’installez horizontalement au châssis, les supports devraient
être installés approximativement entre 10-15” du centre. Il doit avoir au moins
20” d’espace au-dessus du couvercle au bout pour pouvoir inspecter ou
remplacer le filtre. Pour la plupart des installations le raccord à connexion
rapide (avec couvercle à charnière) peut être utilisé. Il devrait avoir un support
pour le boyau chaud soit sur le camion soit sur la citerne.
NOTE: Ni l’entrée, ni la sortie du filtre PneuClean sont conçu ou fabriqué
pour supporter des boyaux sans support. Cela pourrait annuler la garantie.
Les boyaux chauds et les tuyaux doivent être supportés seulement avec des
supports structurellement sains qui ne sont pas connectés sur le filtre
PneuClean.
Avant de commencer, inspectez l’appareil pour des dommages qui auraient
pu être causé durant l’expédition.
Il y a 2 endroits principaux où le filtre PneuClean peut être installé, sur le
camion ou sur la citerne à produits secs.
Camion
Lorsque vous installez le filtre PneuClean sur le camion, le filtre peur être
installé soit horizontalement ou verticalement cette application offre un
avantage supplémentaire qui permettra au filtre d’agir comme un silencieux s’il
est installé à moins 24” de la sortie de décharge du souffleur.

N’installez pas le filtre directement sur le souffleur. Un tuyau de silicone
souple devrait être placé entre les deux. Lorsqu’il est installé directement sur
le souffleur, la vibration peut causer des fissures sur le coté soudé du tuyau et
d’entrée sur l’appareil de filtration.
Le boyau de caoutchouc recommandé est de silicone de 3.5” ou 4.5” de
diamètre, silicone turbo “step-hump-hose” (pour 2 diamètres et un peu de
flexibilité pour expansion etc.) Considérez ce qui suit lors de l’installation:
♦ Le filtre peut être installé soit horizontalement ou verticalement.
♦ Vous devez laissez un minimum de 6” – 8” entre les supports
n’importe où sur le boitier en tuyau.
♦ Il doit avoir un minimum de 20” d’espace au-dessus du couvercle pour
pouvoir retirer le filtre durant l’inspection ou le remplacement.
Installation sur la citerne
Il y a plusieurs façon d’installé le filtre PneuClean sur une citerne de
produits sec. Les critères principaux à retenir sont:
♦ Le boyau chaud devrait être supporté; la soudure de l’entrée ne
soutiendra pas le tuyau chaud et la connexion rapide pour une
longue période de temps.
♦ Vous pouvez l’installez verticalement ou horizontalement en
installant les supports sur un élément de structure ou une partie
fixe de la citerne.
♦ Laissez un minimum de 6” – 8” entre les supports n’importe où sur
le boitier du tuyau.
♦ Il doit avoir un minimum de 20” d’espace au dessus du couvercle
pour pouvoir retirer le filtre durant l’inspection ou le remplacement.
♦
Il devrait avoir une valve anti-retour après le filtre pour empêcher
n’importe quel produit d’entré dans l’évent au cas d’un débit
inverse.
