N Safety Valve - The air compressor is equipped with a safety-relief
valve that is designed to discharge tank pressure at a
predetermined setting. Check the safety valve periodically by
pulling on the ring, but only when the tank pressure is completely
drained. The spring loaded valve should move freely within the
safety valve body. An inoperable safety valve could allow an
excessive amount of tank pressure to build causing the air tank to
catastrophically rupture or explode. Do not tamper with or attempt
to eliminate the safety relief valve.
ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included Identification Key.
The air compressor is preassembled.
BREAK-IN PROCEDURE
Prior to hooking up accessories, run the compressor continuously for
15 minutes with the drain valve open.

3. Once the tank is full, turn it off at the levered switch located on the
side of the Pressure switch.
4. Remove the cover panel by unscrewing the 6 bolts using a #2
Phillips screwdriver. or 5/16 in. socket or nut driver (Fig. 1).
5. Reattach the panel to the compressor’s cage, aligning the top-most
cover holes with the lowest mounts (Fig. 2).
This allows access to the pressure switch while not disturbing the
tubing and wiring connecting the panel controls to the air
compressor.
6. Remove the left side air filter to improve access to the pressure
switch.
7. Locate and remove the cover from the pressure switch using a
Phillips screwdriver. The underside of the cover displays the wiring
diagram and instructions for adjusting the pressure switch settings
(Fig. 3).
WARNING! Removing the pressure cover switch exposes the wire
contacts and wiring. The these are live and touching them will
deliver an electric shock when the unit is plugged into a power
source. Unplug the air compressor when adjusting the switch or
other exposed components.
8. Attach a blow gun to the air coupler on the front panel (Fig. 4).
9. Adjust the plastic screw (Fig. 5) clockwise one-half turn using an

10. Monitor the air pressure gauge while releasing air from the
compressor using the blow gun. Once the motor cuts in at 90 PSI,
release the blow gun and monitor the pressure gauge noting at
which PSI the motor cuts out. Continue the process until you reach
the desired pressure cut out of 125 PSI.
11. Once you are satisfied with the adjustment, reattach the pressure
switch cover, the filter and return the front panel to the correct position.
OPERATION
CAUTION! This compressor is equipped with an automatic reset
thermal overload protector which will shut off motor if it becomes
overheated. If the thermal overload protector is actuated, the
motor must be allowed to cool down before start-up is possible.
PRE-START CHECKLIST
1. Always operate the compressor in a level position to allow the
tanks to drain.
2. Inspect/clean/change intake elements on a regular basis. The
ingestion of dirt into the pump is the primary cause of premature
wear. Check intake filters daily.
3. Check tension of bolts and hardware on a regular basis. Operation
of any equipment with loose bolts and/or fittings will lead to
excessive vibration and the premature failure of the compressor
system control components.

product of compressed air. Drain the air tanks after each use to
combat internal tank corrosion. Keep drain valves open if storing
compressor for any length of time.
DAILY START-UP
1. Ensure that the OFF/AUTO switch (D) is in the OFF position.
2. Plug in power cord (E) to the proper electrical outlet.
3. Turn the OFF/AUTO switch to AUTO. The electric motor will start
and fill the air pressure tanks with compressed air until the cut-off
pressure is reached.
4. Adjust the air pressure regulator (C) to the tool’s working pressure.
Proceed to use the tool.
5. The compressor motor will start once the pressure level within the
tank falls below the cut cut-in pressure. The unit will continue to
cycle in this automatic operation until the pressure switch is turned
to the OFF position.
SHUTDOWN
1. Turn the OFF/AUTO switch to the OFF position.
2. Unplug the power cord.
3. Drain the condensation from the air pressure tanks at the rear of
the tanks and clear the lines of air pressure after each use.
