Installation, Operation, and Care of

MODEL 2912 SLICER

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL

The model 2912 slicer is equipped with a

⁄2 HP (0.37 kw) electric motor and is available for single-

phase electrical service. The 2912 slicer features the exclusive Hobart Stay-Sharp contoured cast

solid stainless steel knife. The 2912 slicer is designed to slice meat and cheese products. It may

also be used to slice vegetables, such as: tomatoes, onions, etc. The 2912 slicer provides

automatic slicing with six adjustable speeds. Other features include:

The Power Interrupt feature requires the slicer to be manually re-started after a power interruption.

The Gauge Plate and Carriage Interlock feature prevents the Carriage Tray from being removed

unless the Carriage is in the H

OME position (pulled all the way to the front) and the Gauge Plate is

LOSED. When the Carriage Tray is tilted horizontally, the slicer will turn OFF if it has not previously

been turned O

FF. Once the Carriage Tray is tilted horizontally or removed, the slicer cannot be

started and the Gauge Plate cannot be opened until the Carriage Tray is returned to its normal

operating position.

The HomeStart feature requires the carriage to be in the H

OME position before the slicer can be

started.

The AutoShutoff feature will turn the slicer off if a full stroke of the carriage has not been made

within a 10 second interval.

INSTALLATION

UNPACKING

Immediately after unpacking the slicer, check for possible shipping damage. If the slicer is found

to be damaged, save the packaging material and contact the carrier within 15 days of delivery.

Prior to installing the slicer, test the electrical service to make sure it agrees with the specifications

on the machine data plate located on the right side of the slicer base.

LOCATION

Place the slicer on a suitable counter or tabletop. Allow enough space around the slicer so the

carriage can move freely forward and back.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ELECTRICAL CODE IN FORCE.

WARNING: THIS SLICER IS EQUIPPED WITH A THREE-WIRE CORD READY FOR

INSTALLATION OF AN APPROPRIATE GROUNDING-TYPE PLUG. THE PLUG AND ITS

MATING RECEPTACLE MUST BE PROPERLY GROUNDED. CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN.

PROVIDE PROPER FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER PROTECTION.

1. Back out Thumb Screw.

Lay Fence on Carriage Tray.

2. Rotate to Vertical.

3. Slide Fence Up. Tighten Screw.

Carriage Tray

The Carriage Tray is secured to the slicer when the knob on the Carriage Tray / Support Arm is

turned clockwise until snug (Fig. 1). Refer to page 7 for assembly information.

Sharpener

The Sharpener should always be mounted on top of the slicer and locked to its bracket during use

(Fig. 1).

Top Knife Cover

The Top Knife Cover should always be in place and secured with its Latch Knob during use (Fig. 1).

Deflector

The Deflector should already be mounted below the knife (Fig. 1).

Fence

The Fence (Fig. 1) can be clamped on the Carriage Tray to limit product movement during slicing.

Product Shield

The Product Shield is shipped separate and must be permanently assembled to the carriage tray

according to the instructions shipped with the Product Shield. The Product Shield can be cleaned

in place.

CLEAN BEFORE USING

The 2912 slicer must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after installation and before being used.

SAFETY DEVICES INCORPORATED IN THIS SLICER MUST BE IN THEIR CORRECT OPERATING

POSITIONS ANYTIME THE SLICER IS IN USE.

OP KNIFE COVER must be in position and secured with the LATCH KNOB (Fig. 2). The RING GUARD

is not removable. The DEFLECTOR, mounted below the slicer knife, can be removed for cleaning.

The M

EAT GRIP (Fig. 2) must be used when slicing short ends to keep your hand(s) away from the

knife.

When the slicer is not running, the I

NDEX KNOB (Fig. 2) must be turned back below zero (fully

clockwise). The G

AUGE PLATE will then cover the knife edge.

With the Gauge Plate fully closed, pull the Carriage all the way toward you until it reaches its stop.

With the Meat Grip out of the way, place the product to be sliced on the Carriage Tray. Adjust the

fence by loosening the thumb screw and sliding the fence so that it is close to the product but not

pushing against it. Tighten the thumb screw. Set the Meat Grip against the product. Always make

sure the Lever (Fig. 2) is in the Manual position (down) before starting the slicer.

If the Meat Grip is not needed, it may be stored out of the way by sliding it to the top of its travel,

rotating it under the Carriage Tray, and allowing it to rest in the Retaining Clip (Fig. 2).

Adjust the Gauge Plate by turning the Index Knob (Fig. 2) to obtain the desired slice thickness. The

numbers on the Index Knob do not indicate actual measurements but may be used for reference

to duplicate slice thickness. Turn the slicer on by pulling the Switch Knob (Fig. 2) forward until it

starts and then releasing it. Unless the Gauge Plate is opened before pulling the Switch Knob on,

the slicer will not continue to run when the Switch Knob is released.

Use either Carriage Tray Handle (Fig. 2) to push the Carriage back and forth to slice manually.

Turn the slicer off by pushing the Switch Knob or by closing the Gauge Plate.

To operate the slicer in Automatic mode . . . Rotate the Speed Selector Knob (Fig. 2) to the

desired speed; make sure the Carriage is in H

OME position (all the way forward); make sure the

Lever (Fig. 2) is on the Manual position (pointing down); turn the slicer on; start the carriage drive

unit by rotating the Lever to the Automatic position (up and to the right).

Any of the six speed selections can be used to begin Automatic mode. The speed can be adjusted

at any time by rotating the Speed Selector Knob.

To stop the drive unit, rotate the Lever down and to the left — to the Manual position.

To use the optional Food Chute, place the Meat Grip on the Retaining Clip, fit the hangers on the

Food Chute around the meat grip slide rod (at front), and lower the Food Chute onto the Carriage

Tray.

CLEANING

This machine must be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each day’s operation, after being idle

for an extended period of time, or to prevent cross-contamination when changing the type of product

being sliced.

WARNING: THE SLICER KNIFE IS VERY

SLICER.

Use a clean brush soaked in mild detergent

and warm water to wipe all surfaces of the

machine. Rinse using a fresh brush and

clean water. Use only products formulated to

be safe on stainless steel or aluminum.

To clean the Carriage Tray, close the gauge plate and pull the Carriage all the way to the front.

Unscrew the Knob on the Carriage Tray / Support Arm (Fig. 3). Tilt the Carriage Tray / Support Arm

to the right until almost horizontal (Fig. 3). The Carriage Tray / Support Arm can be cleaned while

in this horizontal position, or it can be removed by grasping with both hands and lifting straight up.

Once removed, the Carriage Tray / Support Arm can be cleaned in a sink. NOTE: The last three

digits of the slicer serial number are etched on the Key (Fig. 7) so you can make sure the Carriage

Tray stays with its own slicer.

Remove the Top Knife Cover by rotating the Latch Knob (Fig. 3) counterclockwise and lifting it free

of the guide pins. Remove the Deflector (Fig. 1) from its mount below the slicer knife by rotating

downward. Clean both Top Knife Cover and Deflector with warm soapy water in a sink. Rinse with

clean water.

Remove the Sharpener by pushing the Lock Lever to the left (Fig. 4). Tilt the right side up, clearing

the right guide pin, then lift the sharpener up, clearing the left guide pin. Wipe out any residue

remaining inside the sharpener housing and clean the sharpener in a sink. Rinse with fresh water.

Clean completely around the Ring Guard and Knife by using the cleaning brush moistened with

warm soapy water (Fig.5). Wash and rinse both sides of the knife by brushing outward from the

center (Fig. 5). Use a mild detergent or sanitizer solution only. Never clean any part of the slicer with

steel pads.

Do not exceed chemical manufacturer’s

recommended concentrations for detergent or

sanitizer. Do not exceed 200 parts per million

concentration of available chlorine. For example,

mixing 1 tablespoon of 5.25% sodium

hypochlorite bleach with 1 gallon of water yields

a solution containing 200 ppm of available

chlorine. Solution with concentrations greater

than 200 ppm will accelerate corrosion of metals.

Maximum exposure to sanitation solution varies

with temperature and concentration. Rinse with

clean water.

Reassemble the sharpener to the mounting

bracket by sliding the left slot on the sharpener

over the left guide pin on the bracket while tilting

slightly (Fig. 6). Then, press down on the right

side of the sharpener so the locking hole fits

over the right guide pin on the bracket. Slide the

Lock Lever to the right to lock the sharpener in

position. Make sure the sharpener is securely

engaged to the pins on the bracket.

Carefully reassemble the Top Knife Cover by

putting it in position (three guide pins). Lock by

turning the Latch Knob to the left while lowering

the Top Knife Cover; then, release the Latch

Knob and turn it to the right until snug.

Replace the Deflector below the slicer knife:

Guide bottom of socket onto mount and

rotate upwards.

Make sure the digits etched on the Key (Fig. 7)

match the last three digits of the slicer serial

number. To reinstall the Carriage Tray / Support

Arm: Hold it with both hands and lower it so the

Key at the bottom of the Support Arm fits into the

slot of the Carriage Pivot (Fig. 7). The Carriage

Tray should rest almost horizontal (Fig. 3).

Return the Carriage Tray to the Gauge Plate by

tilting to the left. Turn the Knob on the Carriage

Tray / Support Arm clockwise until snug.

To clean under the model 2912 slicer, raise the

Lift Lever past center to its stop (Fig. 8). After

cleaning, return the slicer to its normal position

by slowly retracting the Lift Lever.

DO NOT wash any slicer components in a dishwasher. DO NOT immerse slicer base or motor in

water. DO NOT hose down slicer or splash excessively with water.

If using a chlorinated sanitizing solution, dilute per manufacturer’s guidelines. Rinse with fresh

water.

MAINTENANCE

KNIFE SHARPENING

The Hobart cast stainless steel knife will provide long service in normal food retail or commercial

kitchen use. However, in high volume applications where it is a practice to sharpen the knife

frequently or even daily, the knife will be expended in a shorter time.

Sharpen only when necessary; prolonged or too frequent sharpening results in

unnecessary knife wear. The knife cannot be removed other than by trained service

personnel.

WARNING: UNPLUG MACHINE POWER CORD.

Turn the index knob fully clockwise to close the gauge plate. Remove the Top Knife Cover by

rotating the Latch Knob counterclockwise and lifting it off the slicer. Thoroughly wash the area

around the knife, the exposed knife surfaces, and the knife edge. Fat from meat or cheese

should not be allowed to transfer from the knife to the sharpener.

Plug in machine power cord. Position Lever

at Manual (down) position. With the carriage

tray pulled fully forward, start the slicer with

your right hand by pulling the Switch Knob

forward and holding it out. Pull the sharpener

handle fully forward for 5 seconds (Fig. 9).

Slowly release the sharpener handle. Release

the switch knob to turn the slicer off. If

necessary, repeat sharpening for another 5

seconds.

Unplug machine power cord. Wipe the slicer

with a clean damp cloth to remove any grinding

particles. Replace the Top Knife Cover.

LUBRICATION — Carriage Slide Rod

Lubricate the Carriage Slide Rod with

Lubriplate FMO-200-AW oil (supplied). Either

squirt 8 – 10 drops every 2 – 3 months

(depending on usage) in the Wick Hole on

the Carriage Transport (Fig. 10). Or, once

monthly, apply 4 – 5 drops directly on the

Carriage Slide Rod on each side of the

Carriage Transport (Fig. 10).

To apply oil, pull out the telescoping tube on

the oil bottle, aim the tube, and squeeze

gently on the sides of the bottle. After applying

oil, move the Carriage Tray back and forth a

few times so the oil spreads over the entire

length of the slide rod.

OVERLOAD RESET BUTTON — MODEL 2912

Push the reset button underneath the slicer near the right-front foot if the carriage motor overloads.

This kit is used on Hobart slicer models 2912 (ML-104838) and 2912SC (ML-104839) that are marked

CE. The Product Shield in this kit is shipped separate from the slicer and must be assembled during

installation according to the following instructions.

WARNING: DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER.

Read MSDS sheet. Read and follow directions on sealant

container. Avoid eye contact with sealant.

1. Apply sealant completely around rectangular mounting

area of Product Shield and around all three screw holes

(Fig. 1). Replace cap on sealant container.

2. Within 5 minutes of applying the sealant, place the

rectangular mounting area

of the Product Shield over

the three weld-nuts on the

front of the Carriage Tray so

all three screw holes are

aligned (Fig. 2).

3. Complete the assembly by

threading the three Phillips

head machine screws into

the three screw holes

(Fig. 3). Tighten the screws.

4. Wipe off excess sealant with

a moistened paper towel (Fig. 4). Discard paper towel.

Wash hands with soap and water to rid them of any

sealant. Allow 24 hours for sealant to cure before using

the slicer.

Lees het MSDS-blad. Lees en volg de richtlijnen op de

verpakking van het afdichtmiddel. Vermijd oogcontact met

het afdichtmiddel.

1. Breng het afdichtmiddel volledig aan rond het

rechthoekige montagegebied van het Productscherm

en rond alle drie de schroefgaten (Fig. 1). Zet de dop

terug op de verpakking van het afdichtmiddel.

2. Plaats het rechthoekige

montagegebied van het

productscherm binnen 5

minuten na het aanbrengen

van het afdichtmiddel

zodanig over de drie

lasmoeren op de voorkant

van het sledeplateau dat alle

drie de schroefgaten in lijn

zijn (Fig. 2).

3. Maak de assemblage af

door de drie kruiskop-

machineschroeven in de

drie schroefgaten te schroeven (Fig. 3). Draai de

schroeven vast.

4. Veeg teveel aan afdichtmiddel af met een vochtige

papieren handdoek. (Fig. 4). Gooi de papieren handdoek

weg. Was de handen met zeep en water om mogelijk

afdichtmiddel te verwijderen. Laat het afdichtmiddel 24

uur harden alvorens de snijmachine te gebruiken.

ATTENTION : COUPER L’ALIMENTATION.

Lire la fiche de données de sécurité. Lire et suivre les

instructions inscrites sur l’emballage du mastic. Eviter le

contact avec les yeux.

1. Appliquer le mastic tout autour de la surface

d’assemblage rectangulaire de l’écran et autour des

trois trous de vis (Fig.1). Refermer l’emballage du mastic

avec le bouchon.

2. Moins de 5 minutes après

l’application du mastic,

positionner la surface

d’assemblage rectangulaire

de l’écran au-dessus des

trois écrous à souder situés

à l’avant du chariot, en faisant

en sorte que les trois trous

de vis soient alignés (Fig. 2).

3. Finaliser l’assemblage en

insérant les trois vis Phillips

dans les trois trous de vis

(Fig. 3). Serrer les vis.

4. Enlever l’excès de mastic à l’aide d’un essuie-mains

humidifié en papier (Fig. 4). Jeter la serviette. Se laver

les mains au savon et à l’eau pour enlever les résidus de

mastic. Laisser durcir le mastic pendant 24 heures

avant d’utiliser le trancheur.

WARNUNG: ALLE STROMANSCHLÜSSE UNTER-

BRECHEN.

Das Materialsicherheitsdatenblatt durchlesen. Die

Anweisung auf dem Dichtungsmittelbehälter lesen und

befolgen. Vermeiden, dass das Dichtungsmittel mit den

Augen in Kontakt kommt.

1. Dichtungsmittel ganz um die rechteckige Montagefläche

der Produktschutzvorrichtung und um alle drei

Schraubenlöcher (Abb.1) auftragen. Die Kappe des

Dichtungsmittelbehälters

wieder aufsetzen.

2. Innerhalb von 5 Minuten nach

Auftragen des Dichtungs-

mittels die rechteckige

Montagefläche der Produkt-

vorrichtung über die drei

Schweissmuttern vorne am

Tragtablett so positionieren,

dass alle drei Schrauben-

löcher ausgerichtet sind

(Abb.2).

3. Die Montage durch Ein-

schrauben der drei Phillips-Maschinenschrauben in die

drei Schraubenlöcher beenden (Abb.3). Die Schrauben

festziehen.

4. Überschüssiges Dichtungsmittel mit einem feuchten

Papierhandtuch abreiben (Abb.4). Das Papierhandtuch

wegwerfen. Die Hände mit Wasser und Seife waschen,

um Dichtungsmittelreste zu entfernen. Vor dem

Gebrauch des Schneiders 24 Stunden warten, bis sich

das Dichtungsmittel erhärtet hat.

Installatie, bediening en verzorging van

SNIJMACHINE MODEL 2912

BEWAAR DEZE INSTRUCTIES

ALGEMEEN

De snijmachine model 2912 is uitgerust met een

⁄2 pk (0,37 kw), elektromotor en is verkrijgbaar voor

enkelfasige stroomvoorziening. Een kenmerk van de 2912 snijmachine is het exclusieve Hobart

Stay-Sharp gevormde massief gegoten roestvrijstalen mes. De 2912 snijmachine is bestemd voor

het snijden van vlees- en kaasproducten. De machine kan ook worden gebruikt voor het snijden van

groenten, zoals: tomaten, uien, enz. De 2912 snijmachine biedt automatisch snijden met zes

instelbare snelheden. Andere kenmerken zijn onder meer:

Met de Power Interrupt (stroomonderbrekings-) functie kan de snijmachine handmatig opnieuw

worden gestart na een stroomonderbreking.

De meetplaat en sledevergrendelings- functie voorkomt dat het sledeplateau wordt verwijderd

tenzij de slede in de HOME-stand staat (helemaal naar voren getrokken) en de meetplaat CLOSED

(GESLOTEN) is. Wanneer het sledeplateau horizontaal wordt gekanteld, zal de snijmachine UIT-

schakelen wanneer hij niet eerder is UIT-geschakeld. Zodra het sledeplateau horizontaal is

gekanteld of verwijderd, kan de snijmachine niet worden gestart en kan de meetplaat pas worden

geopend nadat het sledeplateau teruggezet wordt in zijn normale bedrijfspositie.

Voor de HomeStart-functie moet de slede in de HOME-stand staan alvorens de snijmachine kan

worden gestart.

De snijmachine wordt door een AutoShutoff (automatische uitschakelings-) functie uitgeschakeld

wanneer een volle slag van de slede niet binnen een tussenpoos van 10 seconden is voltooid.

INSTALLATIE

UITPAKKEN

Controleer de snijmachine direct na het uitpakken op transportschade. Wanneer de snijmachine

beschadigd blijkt te zijn, bewaar dan het verpakkingsmateriaal en neem binnen 15 dagen na

aflevering contact op met de transporteur.

Test voorafgaand aan installatie van de snijmachine, de stroomvoorziening om u ervan te

overtuigen dat deze overeenkomt met de specificaties op de kenplaat van de machine die zich

rechts op de basis van de snijmachine bevindt.

LOCATIE

Plaats de snijmachine op een geschikte toonbank of geschikt tafelblad. Zorg voor voldoende ruimte

rond de snijmachine zodat de slede ongehinderd voor- en achteruit kan bewegen.

ELEKTRISCH

WAARSCHUWING: ELEKTRISCHE EN AARDAANSLUITINGEN MOETEN VOLDOEN AAN DE

VOORSCHRIFTEN VAN DE GELDENDE ELEKTRISCHE CODE.

WAARSCHUWING: DEZE SNIJMACHINE IS VOORZIEN VAN EEN DRIE-DRADIG SNOER,

KLAAR VOOR INSTALLATIE VAN EEN GESCHIKTE GEAARDE STEKKER. DE STEKKER EN

HET BIJBEHORENDE STOPCONTACT MOETEN CORRECT GEAARD ZIJN. NEEM CONTACT

OP MET EEN ELEKTRICIËN. ZORG VOOR EEN CORRECTE BESCHERMING DOOR MIDDEL

VAN EEN ZEKERING OF STROOMONDERBREKER.

Sledeplateau

Het sledeplateau wordt op de snijmachine vastgezet wanneer de knop van het sledeplateau / de

steunarm naar rechts wordt gedraaid tot hij er strak tegenaan zit (Fig. 1). Raadpleeg bladzijde 7

voor assemblage-informatie.

Slijper

De slijper moet tijdens gebruik altijd bovenop de snijmachine gemonteerd en op de beugel

vergrendeld worden (Fig. 1).

Bovenkap op het mes

De bovenkap op het mes moet tijdens gebruik altijd op zijn plaats zitten en zijn vastgezet met de

vergrendelingsknop (Fig. 1).

Deflector

De deflector moet al onder het mes zijn gemonteerd (Fig. 1).

Geleider

De geleider (Fig. 1) kan tijdens het snijden op het sledeplateau worden geklemd om productbeweging

te beperken.

Productgeleider

De productgeleider wordt afzonderlijk verzonden en moet volgens de met de productgeleider

meegeleverde instructies permanent op de sledeplaat worden geassembleerd. De productgeleider

kan ter plaatse worden gereinigd.

VOORAFGAAND AAN GEBRUIK REINIGEN

De 2912 snijmachine moet na installatie en vóór hij in gebruik wordt genomen grondig worden

schoongemaakt en ontsmet. Raadpleeg Reiniging, bladzijde 6.

1. Draai de duimschroef los.

WANNEER DE SNIJMACHINE IN GEBRUIK IS, IN HUN CORRECTE BEDRIJFSPOSITIE

BEVINDEN.

De BOVENKAP OP HET MES moet op zijn plaats zitten en zijn vastgezet met de vergrendelingsknop

(Fig. 2). De RINGBESCHERMING kan niet verwijderd worden. De DEFLECTOR, die zich onder het

snijmes bevindt, kan voor reiniging worden verwijderd.

De VLEESGRIP (Fig. 2) moet worden gebruikt bij het snijden van korte stukken om uw hand(en)

uit de buurt van het mes te houden.

Wanneer de snijmachine niet in gebruik is, moet de INDEXKNOP (Fig. 2) worden teruggedraaid tot

onder nul (volledig naar rechts). Het snijvlak van het mes wordt dan beschermd door de

MEETPLAAT.

Verwijder altijd HET SNOER UIT HET STOPCONTACT alvorens de snijmachine te reinigen of

verplaatsen.

STOPCONTACT VOORAFGAAND AAN REINIGING, ONDERHOUD OF VERWIJDEREN VAN

ONDERDELEN. ZET ONDERDELEN VOORAFGAAND AAN GEBRUIK TERUG.

Trek de slede met de meetplaat volledig gesloten helemaal naar u toe tot de stop is bereikt. Plaats

het te snijden product in het sledeplateau terwijl de vleesgrip helemaal opzij is gehaald. Stel de

geleider af door de duimschroef los te draaien en de geleider zo te schuiven dat hij tegen het product

zit maar er niet tegenaan duwt. Draai de duimschroef vast. Zet de vleesgrip tegen het product. Let

altijd op dat de hendel (Fig. 2) in de handmatige stand (omlaaggericht) staat alvorens de

snijmachine te starten.

Wanneer men de vleesgrip niet nodig heeft, kan hij uit de weg opgeslagen worden door hem

helemaal naar boven te schuiven, hem onder het sledeplateau te draaien, en hem te laten rusten

in de bevestigingsklem (Fig. 2).

Stel de meetplaat af door de indexknop (Fig. 2) te draaien om de gewenste plakdikte te verkrijgen.

De cijfers op de indexknop geven geen actuele maten aan maar kunnen worden gebruikt als

referentie om de plakdikte te dupliceren. Schakel de snijmachine in door de schakelknop (Fig. 2)

naar voren te trekken tot hij start en dan los te laten. Wanneer de meetplaat niet is geopend alvorens

aan de schakelknop te trekken zal de snijmachine niet blijven draaien wanneer de schakelknop

wordt losgelaten.

Gebruik het handvat van het sledeplateau (Fig. 2) om de slede naar voor en achter te duwen om

met de hand te snijden.

Schakel de snijmachine uit door de schakelknop in te drukken of door de meetplaat te sluiten.

De snijmachine bedienen in automatische stand . . . Draai de snelheidsselectieknop (Fig. 2)

naar de gewenste snelheid; let op dat de slede in de Home-stand staat (helemaal naar voren);

controleer of de hendel (Fig. 2) in de handmatige stand staat (omlaag wijst); schakel de snijmachine

in; start de slede-aandrijving door de hendel naar de automatische stand te draaien (omhoog en

naar rechts).

Men kan een van de zes snelheidsselecties gebruiken om de automatische stand te beginnen. De

snelheid kan te allen tijde worden afgesteld door de snelheidsselectieknop te draaien.

Draai om de aandrijfeenheid te stoppen de hendel omlaag en naar links – naar de handmatige

stand.

Plaats de vleesgrip op de bevestigingsklem om de optionele voedselgeleider te gebruiken, zet de

hangers op de voedselgeleider rond de schuifstang van de vleesgrip (aan de voorkant), en laat de

voedselgeleider op het sledeplateau zakken.

REINIGING

Deze machine moet elke dag na gebruik, nadat hij lange tijd buiten gebruik is geweest, of om

kruisbesmetting te voorkomen na het overstappen op een ander soort te snijden product grondig

worden gereinigd en ontsmet.

REINIGEN.

Gebruik een schone in een mild reinigingsmiddel

en warm water gedompelde borstel om alle opper-

vlakken van de machine schoon te maken. Spoel

met behulp van een andere borstel en schoon water.

Gebruik alleen producten die zijn geformuleerd

als veilig op roestvrij staal of aluminium.

Sluit voor het reinigen van het sledeplateau de meetplaat en trek de slede helemaal naar voren.

Schroef de Knop op het sledeplateau / de steunarm (Fig. 3) los. Kantel het sledeplateau / de steunarm

naar rechts tot hij bijna horizontaal is (Fig. 3). Het sledeplateau / de steunarm kan in deze horizontale

stand worden gereinigd, of hij kan worden verwijderd door hem met beide handen vast te pakken en

recht omhoog te tillen. Nadat hij is verwijderd kan het sledeplateau / de steunarm in een wasbak

worden gereinigd. N.B.: De laatste drie cijfers van het serienummer van de snijmachine zijn in de spie

gegraveerd (Fig. 7) zodat u zeker weet dat het sledeplateau bij zijn eigen snijmachine blijft.

Verwijder de bovenkap op het mes door de vergrendelingsknop (Fig. 3) naar links te draaien en hem

los te tillen van de geleidepennen. Verwijder de deflector (Fig. 1) uit zijn montage onder het mes

van de snijmachine door omlaag te draaien. Reinig zowel de bovenkap op het mes als de deflector

met warm sop in een wasbak. Spoel met schoon water.

Verwijder de slijper door de vergrendelingshendel naar links te duwen (Fig. 4). Kantel de

rechterkant omhoog zodat de rechter geleidepen vrijkomt, til daarna de slijper op en reinig de linker

geleidepen. Veeg alle in het huis van de slijper achtergebleven resten weg en reinig de slijper in

een wasbak. Spoel met schoon water.

Reinig volledig rond de ringbescherming en het mes met behulp van een schone in warm sop

gedompelde borstel (Fig. 5). Was en spoel beide zijden van het mes door vanuit het midden naar

buiten te borstelen (Fig. 5). Gebruik een mild reinigingsmiddel of alleen ontsmettingsoplossing.

Onderdelen van de snijmachine mogen niet met staalwol worden gereinigd.
