1 Software upgrade
The update is delivered as a USB stick. It contains program updates for the alarm unit.
Important information
Loading a new program usually takes up to two minutes.
The power supply must not be disconnected while updating and the USB stick must not be
removed before the software update has been completely finished, i.e. before the graphic
user interface is accessible and usable again.
1. Loosen the screws (A) that hold the front panel in place.
2. Lift out the front panel.
Be careful not to pull the flat cable, as this may damage the connector (B).
3. Insert the USB stick containing the software upgrade in the USB port (C) on the CPU module.
Note the following
- The main module's USB hub (D) must be connected to one of the CPU module's USB connec-
tors.
- There should only be one USB stick in the main module at a time when it is used for storage of
data and logs.
Insert the USB stick containing the software update in the USB port on the CPU module.

Select the required software version.
The installation process begins.
Settings are automatically saved before the update starts and are loaded
after the restart.
During the software update, the house controller will restart.
When the graphic user interface is accessible again, the USB stick can be removed.
The software update is now complete.
If necessary, check the software version number via the menu Technical | Service information | CPU module.
1.1 Check after a software upgrade
1. Check that the software version is correct.
2. Check that the alarm unit works as it should by testing all functions.
Disconnect the power briefly and reconnect in the event that a fault occurs during the update, and the house
computer is not up and running after approx. 40 minutes. The update will then restart automatically.
It is very important that the USB stick is not removed even if the update fails the first time. The house computer
must use the USB stick in the event of errors during the update.
The software update is now complete.
If you want to remove the USB stick again immediately after operation, you can place the loosened front panel
on top of the cabinet by screwing the bottom front panel screws into the top screw holes of the cabinet while op-
erating the controller.
