6.1Maintenance
Aservicecontractcanbemadeinthecountries,whereInvacare®has
itsownsalescompany.IncertaincountriesInvacare®offerscourses
inserviceandmaintenanceofthebed.Sparepartslistsandadditional
usermanualsareavailablefromInvacare®.
Withnormaldailyuse,servicemustbecarriedoutaccordingtothe
checklistaftertwoyearsuseandthereaftereverysecondyear.
IMPORTANT!
–Themattresssupportmustbesupportedduring
serviceinspections,topreventaccidentallowering.
–Onlypersonnelwhohavereceivedthenecessary
instructionsortrainingmayperformserviceand
maintenanceofthebed.
–Afterreconditioningthebed,orifbedfunctions
change,servicemustbecarriedoutaccordingtothe
checklist.

•Ensurethatallmanualandelectricalpartsfunctionscorrectly
andareinasecurestate.
Afterthreemonths
•Ensurethatallmanualandelectricalpartsarefunctioning,and
tightenbolts,screws,nuts,etc.
Everyyear
•Werecommendasafetytestcomprisingthemotors’
performanceandmechanicalstate.
Everysecondyear
•Serviceshouldbeperformedaccordingtothechecklist.
Motors,handcontrolandcontrolunitsareserviced
byexchangingthefaultypart.

qChecktheelectronicwiringforthemotors(wiresnotsqueezed).
qCheckthattheenclosingofthemotorsareintact(nocracks
thatenablesfluidstopierce).
qCheckthatthelockingcamisproperlymountedoverthe
contactsinthecontrolbox.
qCheckthesectionsofthemattresssupportbyusingthehand
controltoactivateallfunctionsofthemovingparts.
qCheckthefunctionofthebrakes.
qCheckthelockingfunction(s)ofthesiderails.
qCheckthatallbedslatsareintactandnotloose.

–Neverusecorrosivefluids(alkalines,acid,cellulose
thinner,acetoneetc)
–Neveruseasolventthatchangesthestructureofthe
plasticordissolvestheattachedlabels.
–Alwaysmakesurethatthebediscarefullydriedbefore
takingitintouseagain.
